Metabolism and Hydrocodone Addiction

Im a 19 year old male who WAS addicted to Hydrocodone for 3 years. Yes, I started poppin at 14,I could't stop at 16. I was an athlete, but during the off season/summer, my weight would skyrocket. Somewhere I read that Hydrocodone addiction for a prolonged period of time(over one year) will dramatically decrease your rate of metabolism.  Before I was an addict, I was about 167-172 lbs. After I became an addict, my average weight was 190+. Now that I have been off for a while, I am back at 175-178. I see a correlation, have any of you experienced a change in your weight?

Don't know where you have been getting your information but if you are an addict you are an addict. You don't stop being one. It's a disease that doesn't go away. Just try a few pills for a few days. If you can stop at any time you want then you never were an addict anyway.
