How many days to feeling normal? I am on Day 4 (again) (Norco)

Had a rather horrific day yesterday.  Good thing i have no access to pills. My little 8 year old boy's father pulled a no show. So there were massive tears there.
When we went out with Papa he couldn't even touch his food. My son begged me to take him to the Hospital.  After we all saw that he was in real pain, off we went.
I won't go into the diagnosis, but stress certainly brought this on. I will know tomorrow when the tests come back.
HIGH ANXIETY!!!!! Too, too sad. I wanted something to numb that pain i was feeling. Truly. But I had to live through it. I loved my little boy up as much as i could.  My w/d symptoms seem to have flared up. Is that possible?
Now i have lost track. But i think this is Day 6.

Hi good cto see your making it thew this and up to taking your dad out for fathers day ..you should be thew the worst of the physical stuff now just a few lingering symptoms
left but now you need to address the mental angle of this thing...you said this is your 4th time doing this the one and only thing I know that works for this part is aftercare.....it only takes a week or so to get clean but it takes a lifetime to stay that way...N/Aor A/A our both free and the 12 step programs work if you work them...if thats not a good fit for you check into an addiction therapist or a substance abuse conslor ...but plug into something
and make this your last detox...it dosent have to happen over and over again you can be pro/active in your recovery....have a great breakfast with your dad and start to enjoy your sobriety good luck and God bless.....Gnarly

I am on day 3 and it ***** but its do able.I have to stay busy I can't stay in bed that would drive me to use but if u have to don't worry.I have 3 beautifull daughters and that's what gets me thru the ruff spots cause I'm daddy and just because mine are 23 19 and 17 doesn't mean they still don't need me.Lol I'm cryin writeing this for the love of god........lol

How are you feeling today?
You might just have to lay in bed and watch mindless movies on LMN for a few days.
Every time you feel that wretched feeling , say to yourself. Free. Freedom. Out of this Dorco rat trap.  The Docs can give you the drugs but they can't give you the antidote.
That's when i got mad.
Today is Day 5 for me. I slept 4 or so hours. On my way to take my 85 year old Daddy out to breakfast.  Don't feel guilty if you can't get out of bed. You are ill. But you WILL get better!
Keep posting so we know you are okay.
Drink that Gatorade.

Sweetie: this s**** is  soo  bad!!!!   I absolutely know how you are feeling right now.
I know that CRAZED feeling. It is truly horrible.  
I am on Day 4 and still crying, I have relapsed 3 times. But ihad a good day today!!
Of course i am ashamed.
You are going to be okay.  And so am I.  I have lost track of time. I think tomorrow is day 5.
70 mg's  day . And i only weigh 120.
I will wait for you to write back..
I know this is hard, more than hard. Let's  just get it done.
Support groups are here  fora reason , they work.

Wow.  Best day ever. I was the only adult "allowed" in the back room as my nephew (17)  and his friends played music.  My Nep. wrote a song on the spot about the pain i am going thru  )
I guess my sis told him)  So awesome.  
I really think i am going to get better now... I don't feel in that rat trap so much.
I am so blessed.

Even if you can get soup down with toast it would be helpful. You do need to keep your strength up right now and the blood sugar mention is spot on.

Give a yell when you get back and let us know how you are. Someone is always around.

I was taking 70 mg"s.  The smell of food makes me nauseous.  But not as much so as Detox #1. Thanks, I will look that up.
And I can't even talk about the cat box without gaging. Why can't they poo out side, like the dog?
Right now I have to go to a Grad party. I am trying to mentally buck up for that.  I know they will all know that I am an alien. There will be people there (church people) that i have not seen in years..  I will try and hang with my niece , i believe she will help me out.
Off to go "get fixed up". Oh joy. God be with me.

Yes,2 weeks is fair. The thing is you HAVE TO EAT more than once a day.  We all get crabby when we don't eat. You need to keep your blood sugar up up up when you detox;your body and brain is in turmoil.
So,eat,get protein in,take vitamins and iron. Look at the Thomas Recipe in the health pages upper right.
Also,read the articles in the health pages.There's some great info there.

I only made it a little over a week the SECOND time, which was fairly recent. Still could not sleep, very very weak.  So this time I am forcing myself to eat , not much, but at least once a day.   What is awful is my level of patience. I have a super hyper very demanding little firecracker 8 years old and has turned my house into a cyclone.
He spent the first few days with his Auntie.  But he is BACK..
I am actually better off alone. Well, if i had a great Husband , that would be best. But if my X was here, he would not be great. So better off alone.
Okay. That was way to much info. Sorry.
The number i keep hearing is 2 weeks before you can eat and sleep.
