On day 2

So glad i found this forum. I am not alone in suffering, neither are you. I will hit my 48 hours since my last dose of vicodin wore off at 8:30 tonight. So far i have had rls, insomnia, anxiety, moodiness, runs, pounding heart beat. I have been on vicodin for 8 months now started off sliw but towards the end i was taking 10-20 7.5/500 per day. I can and will do this but i hate all the neglect i have caused my wife and 8 month old daughter.

Thanks for your words. I was on the verge of destroying my life. If my liver didnt give out i would have been arrested sooner or later. You see i clean drs offices so i hace access to blank rx's and dea #. I was close to forging fake rxs. I had no choice but to go wirk today. My wife went with me to help me clean the buildings. I feel pretty good right now. Once i forced my body to do some manual labor i felt better. Drank so much gatorade my poop turned blue. All i have is pepto and sime flexril to help me sleep. I have some anxiety about sleeping tonight. Thank goodness for tankless water heater, i can stay in tge shower as long as i want!

Don't worry about the future right now, just worry about today. You will start feeling a lot better in 48 hours from now. Try to take benadryl and melatonin at night and B vitamins during the day. When it gets really bad take a shower or a bath, its hard to get yourself into the bath or shower because it doesn't sound good but IT WILL make you feel better : )

With the benadryl and melatonin you should be able to sleep a few hours. Try not to worry about whats to come i know its hell but take it one day at a time. Just Hold on Tight.  watch funny movies and try to walk around. God Bless

Welcome...I too wasted so much time planning, getting and using meds. Family and friends came in second... All we can do at this point is move ahead and make up for the time lost. Once you're clean, it is easy. At this point in your detox, your emotions are pretty ragged. Things will be distorted and you'll have a tendency to feel a lot of guilt, but this too will pass. Don't let these feelings stand in your way.
Keep posting, and remember, once the physical part of detox is over, the mental struggle really kicks in, and it is something that can sneak up on you.

Hello, first of all well done for wanting your life back. You are certainly not alone this story is like  countless others.Typically day 2 to 5 will be the worst physical withdrawals but just think of it as your body ridding itself of the poison, each day will get better and each day will be a step closer to being the person you and your family deserve.Keep fighting it is so worth it
