Google Sandra Cabot, she is a dr in Australia and has a great liver detox diet that is easy to follow.   She also has vitamins that contain milkthistle and other stuff thats good for your liver.    Carrot, beet and parsley juiced is a great liver detoxifier.

I only wish I could stay below the 4gms per day - at the peak I was taking closer to 10gm.  I'm tapering right now, at about 3gm Tylenol with Norco 10/325's.  I have high cholesterol so my doctor checks my liver functions every 3 months and I cannot believe they are normal.  However, as a nurse I also know that the liver can take a lot of abuse and then suddenly it fails so I'm really worried.  I take Milk Thistle as the bottle says (odd, I don't take narcotics as the bottle says!)  But you are wise to keep this in the forefront of your mind!

Milk thistle is the best but the medical world does not like to admit it because there is no money in it for them. I have Hep C and i use Milk T to keep my virus count down. I was taking an avg of 20 to 30 lortab's a day and quit 6 mos ago and i still feel my liver is enlarged and some pains coming off the back side of the it. I think the fatigue most feel comes from a over worked liver so we need to get it back in shape. Some one here should tell you how much is enough but you can take it as the label states on the bottle.
