What a typical response to your question from people who have never used anabolic steroids themselves! "roid rage" pfft
Dare I say it and open myself up for a load of abuse I have been using steroids to enhance my body on and off for about 8 years now (I am 28) What I am writing about is what I have learnt first hand - not from the web!
I started off on oral tablets (dianabol and similar) and quickly moved onto injections. Mainly because they are a lot less toxic on the liver.
I can safely say from a lot of experience that taking testosterone does not change someone into a monster, I will say however that if someone is usually short tempered or violent then yes they may exagerate that behaviour. I have never been an aggressive lunatic nor have any of my friends.
Yes they are bad for you, and some are far worse than others. I reseached which had the least side effects and moved onto those. With any chemical there is always a risk, but like anything they are safer in moderation!
Usually 10 - 50 mg a day is a 'safe' dose But i have known people doing 7-8 times that ammount.
The other people are right about one aspect though im afriad. It is rare that anyone will use them for just one or two cycles.
I have been on a low level dose for the past 8 months, but am planning going 'cold turkey' for 3 - 6 months after summer. They are not physically adictive like heroin etc, but more mentally addictive. I love the feeling of training hard and looking pumped, and its just not the same when im not 'juiced up'
Hope this helps a little..
Steroids can be addictive. At least mentally. Long-term use will change his brain chemistry and he will have episodes or "roid rage," which can be very dangerous. Saying he just wants to do 2 cycles is so common. The problem is he will notice huge gains quickly, and when he's not on them he won't have the same endurance or explosive strength, so if he is a serious weight-lifter he will most certainly be tempted to go back on. I spent a lot of time pumping iron, and never tried them, but many friends did. There was always a noticable change in personality and temper. I always knew when they would stop because they would go through a depressive state, when the body is readjusting it's own testosterone levels. Not a good idea.
regular use of steroids will turn your boyfriend ino an aggressive lunatic plus it will shrink his nether regions.. he will have no desire to have sex and therefore the person that will most suffer is you.
