Day 10... determined

Well I hv once again made it to day 10. This is where I slipped last time! Not because I was hurting or aching... I actually felt Great! Nut I had the idea that I had kicked this thing and I could "handle it". Well that was on January 20 and I crawled back here February 1, broken down and ashamed, BUT WISER and some how stronger. I guess what I'm saying is that we all fall down. But as long as we get back up and start again we can make it to the finish line. Sobriety of any kind is a journey not a destination, but it is so powerful and so worth it!!
Did some shopping with my daughter yesterday and it felt great!! God is my strength. And going to church really helps. Each day I get little cues that I'm on the right path!! And if I can turn this situation in my life around for the good or betterment of myself and others then that is something important, right?
This forum is so important to sooooo many people. It is literally a life line for some! There r so many wonderful and supportive people here. I am definately blessed to be here and on this journey with all of u! Definately feeling blessed today! I hope each of u finds peace and comfort today...no matter what part of this journey u r on.
I am looking forward to a great weekend and spending some much needed time with my family and husband... actually feeling; if u get my drift!!! Happy Friday Y'all from Texas!!!

Congrats to you!  Keep it up!
You are right, for me, this site is a life line.  I know many don't agree with how i'm doing this, but i'm doing this alone.  However, I log on this site quite often each day and know i'm not alone.  I read all of the support, and stories, that sound an awful lot like mine, and I know i'm not alone.  Thank you all for starting this journey with me,  I say starting because i'm only at Day15....but keep praying i'll be at Day 16, then 30, then 365, soon enough.  Have a much deserved fantastic weekend.  Enjoy FEELING again.

My next goal.... make it thru the weekend pill free! Small but substantial!!! A night out with my hubby tonight is what I am rewarding myself wit!  Hopefully to be somewhere in his arms, dancing the night away. No pills. None of our friends ever offer to me dirrectly. When we were with them, they would give them to Kevin; enough for us both. But he is my wall now and at 6 foot 230 lbs I don't see anyone getting by him... lol! And alhohol is not my thing. Makes me act stupid and I feel yuck the next day!!"

Great job Deb!  For the last 6 months I always fell down at 7 or 10 days, I am at Day 5/6 today.  Just make it through today and then one day at a time.  Whatever you do just do not use.  You have come to far.

Hi Deb!

You know...I am really proud of you and the hard work you are doing on your recovery.  You are absolutely right...Bettering yourself and reclaiming your life and reaching out to others is THE most important work you can do!  It is easy to get enmeshed in ourselves and our suffering.  Hold on to your faith and keep doing the brave work on your recovery.  The lessons that you learn and can utilize to help others are priceless.  You have ten days...Hold it sacred and you will accumulate many more.

Awesome work girl...
much love
