My relapse/recovery

So, i have some awesome news. I finally found an NA group i like and went to my first meeting tonight and wow do i feel better. Also, the addiction specialist i was suppose to have an appointment with monday agreed to see me tomorrow. Also i talked to Kristens brother today when he came over and let himself in all f-ed up and raided my fridge. you know the food i paid for. well i finally just mustard up the courage and told him he was no longer welcomed in our home. not until he got clean and helped himself. well, he punched me in the face, knocked me out, and stole my walet which had all of 4 dollars in. well even though he gave me a black eye and stole from me it was so worth it. and i didnt call the cops because that would be too easy for him to have a roof over his head and free meals and he knows he can still get the drugs in jail so it's not even a punishment for him its more like a vacation. i told kris so he cant run and complain to her cuz she agreed with me. thank god! well beside all that i called my best sober friend and we went out for wings and i feel SO much better.  anyway just wanted to tell you all what a great day it's been. thanks for everyones support and i hope its a privilege i still get from all of you. thank you so much...

I am really happy to know that you are feeling better. Good job on standing up to your brother in law. It was time you put your foot down. Keep us posted on your journey.

WOW, i agree with freebird what a day you have had...I havn't been on much lately, but have read your post...Hang in there...You did the right thing...please keep going to the meetings, and also glad to hear you get to go to see the addiction specialist tomorrow..I have had alot going on in my life lately, and without those 2 things, I WOULD NOT be clean today...I wish you the best, and glad to hear kristen is doing good...one day at a time...

Congrats. on that na  meeting. Big step and I bet you will enjoy the fellowship the more involved you become. Souds like you had qiute a day. Sorry for the black eye. but I promise you one thing, If you stay clean and attend meetigs and do the footwork that kind of behavior will not be a part of your life.  Best Wishes
