THe third day is always the worst. Another few days and you will be feeling much better.  The best suggestion would be to call your doctor and tell them you have having some discomfort getting off the pain meds. You have been taking these for 9 months so you are for sure physically addicted, whether you are mentally addicted only you can say for sure.

IBKleen always cuts it straight. As soon as read your post I was thinking withdrawal IS addiction. It's the body wanting it's fix.
If you think you can go cold turkey, you're already halfway through the worse part. Search for the Thomas recipe. There is some helpful info there. Remedies and aids to help you with the w/d symptoms.

Don't know.. but I think if you are wondering yourself, well then you might have a perpensity towards addictive behavior?  you were able to stretch out your plls for longer than I ever could have; but I remember a time after I broke my leg when I could do the same... After my doc cut me off c/t, I found a new doc who said I STILL NEEDED the meds...  Looking back, i wish I would have just tried going through the wd's a long time ago instead of DENYING that they were a proble/ could become a problem...

Withdrawals make one much more sensitive to pain; both psychological and physical. If you can put up with the pain, it could save you from a very difficult and more painful sequel. Doctors are reluctant to prescribe pain killers for this very reason. Of course these things are easier said than done, but try your best to avoid the drugs, whether the discomfort is chronic (long term) or acute (short term).

I am sorry..it is late and I am tired, so excuse me. I am going to hit the sack in a minute, but....I don't understand what you are asking.

"I am not sure that I'm addicted to them or just going through withdrawal".? If you were not addicted, you would not go through withdrawal. Right?

So, what is going on hun?
