I had a baby on methadone and was on a script of vic's at the same time. Legal of course! But i am still in a methadone clinic now 2 and a half years later. Still got all my kids and my baby girl is as smart as could b. Look at my profile and message me back if you want to talk about before birth, labor delivery, how to wean the baby, formula 2 use 4 their lil bellies, leaving the hospital and breastfeeding so your baby does not withdraw. Plus i can share my exp with the other 40 mothers in my clinic(its a methadone prog. 4 preg. moms) and in the relaps prevention groups i attend. It has worked flawless for our program for 14yrs. and its good advice. They also have clinics around the US. I would really love to help you only if you r serious thou!!!!! I had a healthy baby last year while on pres. meds (perc and Tylenol 3) all the way through. I tapered at the end, but was still taking a few a day, the dr. knew, so you need to tell your doc so they know if the delivery room. Anyway, my baby was totally fine, NO withdrawal, nothing, breastfed, slept, not cranky- perfect little boy. He's one now and I am not on anything - just occasional pills for my back issues, but I got through the process of stopping to take the pills 'to get through the day'  - it was hard, but I did it and it was not that bad. One day at a time and PLEASE tell your doc, and if you're on  small dose (like under 20 mgs of Meth a day or 20 mg of hydro or so I would doubt that you would have any problems, but I am not a doctor, I just know a LOT of women who are on opiates for legit problems and were pregs and all babies were fine. My friend, who is a doctor also told me not to stress. Stress made my baby come a week early as my brother, an alcoholic, was dying, and died a few months later, so the stress of worry is worse that the drugs you take as long as you tell your medicinal practitioner and maye try and wean off close to birth? how far along are you?
