Thanks for the words of encouragement...not the first time down this road, just seems to be the roughest. I will have to be back to work tomorrow...hope i'm up for it and i guess i'm ready for the ride. tea seems to help to rehydrate...tough time getting anything to stay down or in and have lost a bit of weight, the thought of excercise seems almost impossible but then again so did the idea of quitting. may even go for a walk tomorrow and i'll keep posting on progress.
Congrats on 3 days and your decision to quit. Withdrawal is tough. The physical part for me always lasted 4 days and then I felt better. It is normal to get a rush of that feel better and it is commonly called the pink cloud effect. You feel like you have it kicked and everything is back to normal. The thought of using again seems ridiculous. There is a mental withdrawal that you will get and you will basicly be on an emotional roller coaster for a couple months. Things will continue to improve but your anxiety and depression will be up and down. This is when you need to post, exercise. The amino acids Gizzy posted about help so many with depression. So putting it in perspective you will continue to get better but won't be consistently back to yourself for about 3 months. This is a short time compared to the lifetime that you will be robbed of if you continue to use. Can you go to NA for support? Keep posting and let us know how you are. Feel free to PM me anytime you need xtra support. God bless, Corey
Not everyone is the same, but for most it seems the worst of the physical is 4-5 days with lingering effects after. I don`t know about the dilaudid. Try looking in the health pages for the thomas recipe to help with wd`s. Hang in there and someone will give you some better advice soon. Congrats on 3 days.
