Hey you!!!  Don't give up!!! PLEASE keep believing in yourself.  You CAN get through this.  You had 2 Lortabs and I agree, not a great idea, but it wasn't Oxy's right!?  Try to see the positive.  Stay away from the narcotics and THINK POSITIVE.  I know it's difficult.  I have a friend who motivated me to go for walks and do some stretching and it helped a ton.  Maybe you could start with stretching.  Then work your way up.  It WILL help.  I found that it worked.  Anyway, you are in my thoughts and prayers!  Please know that you are WORTH it!!!

don't give up - really....don't!  it is sooo hard to be on the inside looking out but i can promise you - you will be on the outside looking back in no time.  ---- I relapsed on Vicodin in a treatment facility because one of my "friends???" (ha-ha) snuck it in and was passing in out like the candy man.  Hang in there guy please... blue skies are ahead!   ---- I got off everything and recently my doc put me on Tramadol for pain - said it was non-habit forming - non-addictive - oh yah sure....... i'm getting off of that little wonder right now and i swear to God it isn't easy.  I need people to talk with too, but again, been there with the vic's and benzo's & i truly know you can do it.

If you have the cash, see a dr. who prescribes suboxone.  take the required dose for at least 6 weeks and your cravings will be gone.  the cold turkey thing was an awful experience.  your energy will come back as soon as your brain transmittors begin functioning clearly.  you're experiencing post-withdrawal symptoms which could last for months or a year.  intervene if you can with the suboxone.  it'll take the pressure off you and especially off the wife and family.  good luck

Listen, I forgot to say something... It sounds like you need support, like a Dr., nurse practioner, substance abuse counselor.  It sounds to me like your wife just doesn't get it.  Otherwise you would not have to hide anything.....You both need to understand the chemistry of it all and stop the blame, feeling guilty, etc.  This is just what happens honey, Opioid addiction is inevitable no matter how, why, or when you began using.  This is NOT something that can be achieved without the full support, and non-judgementalness of loved ones.  I don't even know you or her but I am highly irritated with your wife.  What about in sickness AND in health??? Right now you need to get through today and the wknd, try to find a counselor who deals with these issues and maybe your wife can meet with you both and get a better and more truthful understanding of what is going on inside your brain and body CHEMICALLY.  A licensed mental health counselor will probably also find you a doctor who can help you get through this with some non-addictive medicines specifically for W/D.  GodBless.

Are you doing this cold turkey? Or have you been tapering?  I had the exact same experience-oxy's-7.5's, 6 a day, had to go off for surgery--How about getting a pill splitter and taking quarters or halfs?  I think if I was withdrawing, I would take a quarter of the 7.5 every 6 hrs. or so or when you absolutely need to function.  Our bodies do not like to be shocked.  Success rates of quitting opiates err on the side of tapering and slowly.  Please don't feel like you are disappointing anyone.  THIS IS NOT A GAME OR A RACE!.   It has nothing to do with strength or will power or character even, IT'S THE OPIOIDS! IT'S WHAT THEY DO!   As far as energy, force yourself to walk a little, and get on the floor and do some gentle stretching, think "circulation and hydration".  Both will help get and keep things moving.  Yogurt or "pearls" with live cultures will help greatly with stomach issues. sublingual vitamin b complete in a dropper is awesome, and benadryl will help with some of the mucus and restless legs that attacks in the pm.  Refusingbondage is right, the w/d's get harder each time.  The acute phase should be over for you (whether you taper or not) after 2 weeks or so.  Prepare for the subtle w/d's that can linger like low energy, dehydration, overall feeling of crappiness.  I'm so sorry you're having to deal, it is so hard.  Don't give up and remind yourself that w/d's aren't just physical, they are emotional too.  It does feel like you're dying and there is no quick fix, except to keep on using.  If you're a southern bulldog, I know you'll make it.  :)

For me my wds are worse everytine I quit with a few exceptions of when I was on stronger drugs like fentynal(DOC hydros). I went through a few setbacks early on last spring and was clean 2 weeks, then used 5 days and had moderate wds. Then I quit for the next month and a half...caved and used 8 days out of the next 11 and was worse than the oriqional wd. Not only physical but mental as well. I was in a really bad place. I started feeling better after 3 days that time so i concidered it a blessing. I think that what they say about it being progressive applies to this. Taking 2 pills should not set you back too much. You may get some jitters for a day. Don't let your mind trick you into picking up for any reason. My best to you. Corey

I also don't think it will set you back....you have to dig deep down and just know that your body is trying to get use to not having the pills...It just takes time...Have you tried a little excercise? Like just a walk??  I would also try to get at least some of the amino's that help with energy, they are not expensive, some are less then 5 dollars a bottle....
You did not let anyone down...I for sure did not make it the first time ...As long as you keep trying it will happen...I pray that you feel better soon!!!

I do not think it will set you back, but I am no expert. As for the energy, try exercise. From what I hear that is the best thing you can do for yourself.Try eating healthy, exercise, read the amino post that may help you a ton.Try not to stress over it so much(I know easier said than done)relax and treat yourself good.Way to go flushing the other pill!!!!That is a hell of a good start.

No need to be sorry.Just pick yourself up dust yourself off and keep fighting the good fight. When I go cold turkey my w/d's last for about 2 weeks, but everyone is different. You are almost there do not give in now!We are all here for you.The guilt is not good,it can lead you to use again.Just know that you are human and make mistakes, learn from it and move on.Hope you feel better soon.

DONT DWELL ON THE NEGATIVES BULLDOG......WE HAVE ALL BEEN THERE. AND WE ARE FREQUENTLY OUR OWN WORST ENEMIES. YOU HAVE SEVEN DAYS CLEAN TIME AND YOU KNOW YOU CAN MAKE IT THAT LONG.... NOW YOU NEED TO DUST YOURSELF OFF AND GET BACK IN THE SADDLE....NEVER STOP QUITING. YOU CAN GET THIS DONE. DID YOU USE THE AMINO ACIDS THIS TIME? THEY WORK FOR THE ENERGY FACTOR AND OTHER THINGS ALSO......

Don't give up.  I think you will find many of us have been where you are right now.  Keep trying and one of these days you will accomplish it.  Withdrawal from Oxys is really  bad but from everyone I've talked to withdrawal from methadone is worse.  Please stay strong and don't beat yourself up.  Jump right back in it.  It's difficult to get through but sometimes you need to take it minute by minute and just get through that minute.  I would really urge you to throw out whatever pills you still have.  It's not good to have them around when your body is doing everything it possibly can to make you miserable enough to take them.  You can do this!

NEGATIVE. TWO PILLS WONT OUT YOU BACK IN FULL BLOWN WITHDRAWALS....THE WITHDRAWALS ARE WORSE EVERY TIME THAT YOU GO THROUGH THEM. 10 DAYS IS NOT THAT LONG HISTORICALLY. HOW LONG WERE YOU TAKING THEM? DONT EVEN THINK ABOUT GIVING UP AND GOING TO METHADONE YET!!
