Needing advice desperately

I know I need to taper with these pills I have as I've cut off contact with the person giving them to me. I have the slow releasing ones. I've cut them down by two pills. I'm looking for encouragement. This has been extremely rough for me. I'm getting married next year. I want to be over this ASAP. I know if I taper if will be easier. But that's so hard too. Ugh I'm just at a complete loss! I can't talk to my doctor or she won't see me anymore cuz I got the pills from a friend. But the office knows I can't have them. This is entirely my fault and I feel horrible. I only take them to not go into eithdrawal. The slow release ones do not give me a high. I actually feel groggy on them.

It was really hard when I came clean to my Doc, but so worth it in the end. I am still struggling and ended up back on them but it felt so good to get help.

I wasn't able to taper but hear it's the best thing to do.  Buy you some gator aid and plenty of bananas, walk as much as possible along with hot baths. The worst of the physical lasted a little over a week but the mental part was longer. I still have spells at 41 days but nothing like the first 2 weeks

Talk with the doc, its the best for the taper PLUS they will know in the future that meds of this sort are triggers for you and can help you before a relapse occurs best wishes.

Hi!! This is just my opinion, but I don't think tapering with the extended release trams is a good idea. The drug is slowly being released pretty much all day, never leaving your system and prolonging the wds. I quit ct from a 50-60 pill a day addiction from the 50 mg tramadol. It was hard. I would suggest talking with your dr, I know ya don't want to, maybe she/he could try a more suitable taper. Or you could go ct. Either way, I know it's tough. I think the wds are what keep most using. Nobody wants to feel like that, lol.  Just hang in there! Take care...
