Llardo,

I was just reading your replies to icka.  It sounds like you have determined what you will be doing while waiting and hoping.  Its not easy, is it?  But you will be the most supportive, knowledgeable, caring mother when called upon.  Knowledge is so important.  We can't experience what your daughter is going through, whats going on exactly in her head, but we can try our best.  Over many months on this and another site I have learned so much about what an addict probably thinks.  How much that will help me I really don't know, but at least I'm trying, as you are.  I have to believe it will be of some benefit, for me and my friend, and you and your daughter.

My prayers each night include you and your daughter.  I hope you have found a little peace in your heart, just a little. Keep trying and learning, llardo, and giving support to others on this site as you have to icka might just bring a little of that peace.  Make sure your daughter is reminder that you will be there for her, but not as an enabler.  It must have been so hard for you going the tough love part.  I wish you the very best, I admire what you are doing, and my heart is with you.
