Need to talk to someone?

I'm not pushing any particular program but it just dawned on me that when I first started going to NA back in the mid 80's they had a hotline addicts could call to talk to another addict in times of struggle.

I'm not sure what the number would be in your particular area but you could call and anonymously speak to a volunteer who works the phone hotline.

I'm sure google or 411 would have the number if anyone needs an extra boost to get through the day.

Thank you both....that is good information for everyone to have.  I hope u both are having a good night.  tzt - I have actually been meaning to reply to you for some time after my recovery issues post.  Im sure you are way past needing any pats on the back, but what u have accomplished to get your life back - at that time - was very impressive.  Sometimes, well most of the time if Im honest, I want the quick fix and working very hard to get what i have lost (due to my own problem) just sounds........   That sounded bad, Im sure, but what I mean is that you are totally right.  The only way to regain my life is to get my butt in gear and get a plan.  All u did just hit a chord with me so thank u very much for sharing.

And Tomany - How are you today?  I saw your 50th post way down  - WAY TO GO  lol.  I hope things are going well and your weekend was fun for you.  Have u ever used to NA phone line?  I am actually going to a meeting tomorrow night so I'll be curious to see how my life will change once I incorporate some new "principles" into my life.  DEF need new something..lol

talk to you both soon and thanks again for the info.
love tracy

Thank you so much for the kind words and oh yes, I still need those pats on the back at times.  Seems I focus on what I haven't accomplished instead of what I have a lot of the time.

I enjoy your posts and wish you all the best in your recovery.
