I came off high doses of oxycontin. Days 3 and 4 were the worst for me. Day 5 was the first day I felt somewhat normal. 2 weeks into it I'm still feeling pretty bad but most of the symptoms are much milder now. But my usage was very high and for a long period, I think many people are doing much better than I am at this stage. It will get better so hang in there. Hot baths help a lot. And some fresh air. Good luck.

I just wanted to let you know to try and eat something because when you dont your blood sugar levels drop far too low causing a kind of crash and makes the depression worse. I am going through the same thing, on day 7 off vicodins and the depression is so hard for me too, mostly all this is mental for me. Anyway try and get something into you every couple hours, it will help some, and of course we all have each other here. God Bless----------Jacky

I know how you all feel, i am going through the same right now. It is never easy and I have tried several times. When you have the drug you keep telling yourself that withdrawels wont be that bad next time so i'll just take a few. WRONG!  I am on day 3 and feeling better but I feel naseous pretty much all day. I dont know if its from not eating much or nerves or just part of the symptoms. The RLS stinks and I feel depressed. I know if I can do it than anyone can do it but we have to keep trying.

Hey Jenny,  for me, day 4 was the day of things starting to get better.. The improvement was significant..  Day 5 was a little better than day 4..
Day 6, I still get the chills, but no big deal.

Take Imodium.. Huge improvement after 12 hours.. If you don't need it, stop taking it..

Jenny, my doctor put me on Clonodine on day 4 .. I have to say that it seems to cut the Restless leg syndrome in half .. Not kidding..

Keep your chin up .. your almost past the detox ..

I wasn't on codeine but on hydrocodone, a very high amount. Day 5 seemed to be the turning point for me. I was miserable on days 3 and 4. After that it was all downhill. Be sure to be pushing the good fluids and exercising. I can't stress exercise enough! I know it's hard to muster up the energy to do so but even a short walk will help. You have to force yourself. Have you checked in to the amino acid protocol? The vitamins and supplements help get our mind and body back on track a bit faster.
Just keep doing what you're doing. Keep up the great fight. Don't even think about relapsing because you won't get these past 3 days back and one day you'll have to go through them again. That is unless you plan on staying on the pills forever which I know you don't.So there's no better time than right now! Keep moving forward and never look back! You've got this!!
Best of luck!
