Norco Withdrawal

I was perscribed Norco and Soma for a fractured vertebrae about 6 weeks ago.  I finally got to a point where the pain wasn't that bad, the fracture was healed and I decided I didn't need the Norco and Soma anymore.  Now I think I am going through withdrawal symptoms.  I can't sleep, have diarhea, and get twitchy.  It's been 1 day so far.  How much longer do you think this will last?  I am hoping that in the next 2-3 days I should be over it.  Thanks for your help.

34 disabled vet who has barely saved his leg for the better part of 13 yrs or more.  It is great to see all of u helping each other.  I had a surgery 2+ yrs ago and have in past few months found myself eating 440 pills in less than a month.  Admittance is truly the first key I just admitted it to my wife and it was one of the most shameful things I have ever felt....,to admit I was a junkie.  As of right now I  out of pills and on day two of withdrawals.  Anyone have some help to offer?  I am using Xanax, loidine, hydrochloride anti diahree, and Imodium to help but just want this to end.  Drinking lots of water, eating saltine crackers, and sleeping as well as wearing heavy clothes to promote sweating.  Anyone got any help or advice for me?

I was curious in your post that u have a lot of knowledge on narcotics... I have recently stepped out and told my husband and family that I have an abuse problem to norco. I haven't said how bad... But I'm tapering dramatically cause I have too... But I'm curious how long the WD effects will last and what exactly should I expect and or do to help lesson the effects at all??  I've been on meds for years cause of kidney issues but recently in the hospital with liver problems. So I've decided I need to stop. I want to be healthy. I just need the support  and help thank u.

Spartan please make sure you do your own research, petefins information is not only wrong but it is so far off point you could get hurt in the pocess...........

schedule three drugs are extremely addictive.........and Norcos are very high up on the list........
Norcos are even available in many different strengths.......
Near the end of my addiction my doctor was perscribing me Norco 10/325...........
my W/Ds from the norcos were very intense.............

The only thing accurate about petefins post is that Norco is a schedule three drug.........

Sorry Petefin but I have a lot of education in narcotics and I am very knowledgable in both informal and fromal education in narcotics........and on your point about Norcos and schedule three including Vicodins I can't believe you can post what your did........
are you saying that vicodins are not addictive and that there is no W/Ds from them?

Anyway that is not important what is important is your post worries about your W/Ds your looking at 3-7 days.........andyes the symoms can't sleep, have diarhea, and get twitchy. Hang tough you can get through it..........
