Norco Withdrawls - please help!

Hi - I have been on Norco 10 (8 a day) for the past 3 years due to Breast Cancer. My doctor has cut me off and i'm so embarrsed to tell them that i have a problem!  I want and am ready to be done with these pills once and for all! Tomorrow will be day 1 for me, i saw on a post that had some sort of a Thomas receipe that might make it easier?  I have tried to stop a few times before but by day 2 i was so sick i started using again!  I am so scared this time but i have no choice, i'm tired of my pills running my life! Any advice anyone has for me would be so great!  Thanks!

I too was addicted to norco. I'm going on day 7 without them. For me the first 72 hours where the worst. By day 4 iwas put of the house doing things to keep me busy.
But I gotta say those first few days I just layed in my bed. I watched alooot of movies and took maaany hot baths as they heled me alot with the RLS, I alsoused a heating pad wheni was too pruny for another bath.
Also get a support system of some kind. Family, doctor, AA/NA.
Aftercare is a big thing in heling me too.
I've been going to alot of both NA and AA meetings and it feels great having strangers wanting to help and support you.
Just push through those first 3 days and you will make it.
Stay strong, post on here, this website hashelped me sooo much.

Hi Kimmers Welcome to the forum.. do not be embarrassed to speak with your Dr. believe me they have heard it all he could prescribe non addictive meds to help with the wd, scroll down to the bottom right you will find the Thomas recipe and the amino acid protocol.. I have read wonderful things about their use.. getting honest with those close to you helps us to be accountable to someone.. Congrats on beating the cancer you did not fight that hard just to turn your life over to addiction.. You just have to know you will be sick and that it only last a lil while.. You will be surprised how much of life you have missed while using.. You can do this !! there are many things you can do that helps the process. such as Hot/baths showers exercise walking also Natural supplements such as Valerian root and Melatonin to help with the anxiety and sleep.. Keep reading as you can glean a lot of what others have done and as with cancer your attitude will play a major roll in how you do.. I wish you the very best. You deserve the life you fought so hard for.. lesa
