day 2

So I completely screwed my days up yesterday so actually I'm on day 2 now. Though oddly it feels more like day four.

I think as many already know there are two huge things to help wds.

1) hydration!!! Hydration!!! Hydration!!!
2) intense physical excersise. I'm not talking about walking, though anything is good, I'm talking fifteen minutes of pure holy he11 strength training.

I've been focusing on these and so far it seems to help. But I'm early on still. But I feel pretty darn good right now. Much better about it since my relapse.
Two days stronger.
Symptoms are anxious, some rls, cravings, stomach slightly uncomfortable. Aches

Ditto all of the above posts!  You keep struggling to get out of the gate, which really indicates that one of the big problem is what MSD and kyle are pointing out...sources (and secrets perhaps).

You have to put up as many roadblocks as you can to help prevent relapse.  Look at it this way...LOOK at how COMMON relapse is, I would have to say that ALMOST everyone coming here to get help with getting/staying clean has either already relapsed many times, or they end up relapsing after becoming a member and starting their journey.  With those kinds of odds, it's VERY clear that addicts REALLY struggle with this.  With easy access and keeping your secret to yourself, that's a bronzed invitation for your addict brain, and in times of weakness, forget it.  You will have the pills in your belly before giving it a second thought.

You're doing great, keep up the great work, but PLEASE really think about what you need to do to protect your recovery.  Best to you!

I agree with msdelight...There are a lot of approaches to recovery; some recommend getting to the root cause of addiction, which is great, but that can take time, and if you have access to meds you will relapse. So, while you are in this dangerous stage, be sure that all sources are cut. Just because you don't have any pills now doesn't mean that you can't get them in the future. Our addict's mind will make all sorts of excuses why having a source is OK, but that whole way of thinking puts you right back on the slippery slope. Tell your doctor, dentist, loved one. If you don't tell your secret you'll use behind it.

PJ the most important thing you can do right now is cut you're sources. Having a backup plan to quell the w/d is self defeating and makes it very hard to clean up. I know you probably know this, but wanted to remind you that at 3 days, this is the number one thing you need to do. Keep fighting friend!

No Ive been struggling the past few months quitting for a day starting up.again. it was almost three days now that I took my last pill. When I posted this I was confused on what day it was. Or maybe I was hoping I was further along than I was. Haha.
Either way I'm trudging through the beginnings of day 3 now.

I've go to ask..Do you have access to meds? The question stems from you statement about screwing things up and now being back on day 2, or maybe I'm just misreading it. Anyway, if you're trying to detox, and if you have a med source, then the odds are against you. You need to get rid of all sources, ASAP.

Welcome home PJ. You were missed! I hope this time detox goes fast, fast, fast! Working out hard is good but remember it will cause more muscle pain the next day. Soreness you know. So try to keep it moderate, take motrin and don't forget the immodium! Congratulations on 2 days!
