It is basically a muscle relaxer and could help you but it should ONLY be used under a doctor's care. If you are taking it for any period of time you will need to wean off of it. Stopping abruptly can cause a spike in your blood pressure.
A long hot bath is what helped me the most to relax the muscles and ease the rls.
Yes they will help relax you. At least they did for me. Melatonin works better and is all natural. I take ambein some nights. But Melatonin really worked the same and didn't give me a druggy feeling in the morning. And yes zanaflex helps with the creepy crawlly feeling
Hi Ditto and Welcome! Zanaflex may help with the creepy crawlies in your legs but I dont think it will put you to sleep. Scroll down to the bottom right corner and look up the Thomas Recipe,,,there are some supplements listed to help ease the w/d discomfort. Some members suggest taking OTC melatonin to help with sleep.
