A big congrats to you! Thirty days! Whoo hoo! Keep up the great work...keep your guard up and I am looking forward to your 60 days post!
Yahooooo! Sounds like you have some ground covered here.
Congratulations on your days. Keep on Trucking Forward.
PS I have the HBO info and other paper work and videos I got about 10 months ago. My Hub watched it all and it help him to understand. He did give me the support and time I needed to heal. Heck I still am healing!
Bless
Hey, congrats you your 30 days, this is great news! And is gets better too, it really does. Enjoy and protect this new sobriety with your life; you deserve this! Congratulations :))
I'll take it, too. And just so you know..."normal is just a setting on your clothes dryer."...hahaha!
Yep I guess we have to understand its hard for them too. It has to be an every day thing for me learning and staying on top of this recovery. For him he is proud and happy I'm doing it but he just wants life to be normal and normal is not totally in my vocabulary yet but I'm working towards it and as long as we have their support and its not a secret anymore that has to be good enough for now. He keeps me accountable and I'll take that!
"I'm guarding this new life." That's sounds HEALTHY!!!
I, too, am finding that in my geographic area.....AA is much stronger and more....well....just MORE...lol
My hubby also "knows" about the hbo site, but his desire, willingness, interest or whatever ..to actually learn all that I am "soaking up" ain't there....but that'll have to be ok, right?
Thanks guys
Yes clean-in-ks my mom spent a lot of time on HBO site and it helped her understand a bit better hubby is proud of me but has a hard time educating himself on it. I have been going to NA still trying to figure out where I fit in. Met some great girls that told me about an AA meeting they go to thats great so gonna try that one. They said AA can sometimes be a better meeting more people with more clean time. So just taking it one day at a time and racking up the time. Being very careful with my clean time. Never got this far and know how easily you can slip when least expected but not gonna happen I'm guarding this new life. Actually starting to appreciate things I haven't in so long. Feels so good!
Congrats on the big 30 days! One month is a biggie. Keep on pushing forward and working your recovery. Here's to many more months and soon years clean and sober!
YIPEE KIYAYY...!! 30 DAYS glamisgirl...!!! A new milestone for you!!!
Did your hubby or any of your family get on the hbo site and read some about addiction yet? And how bout your first meeting? Did you go yet...and are you finding a "home" group or some women in recovery that you feel comfortable with?
