tramadol taper question

Can you tram folks tell me about your taper experiences? I have been on a 1/3 cut of my intake for a week, and have been in mild w/d's. I'm taking 10 50mgs every 24 hours. I'm taking 2 pills every 4-6 hours. I can go longer in between when I am active during the day.

Should I keep on this schedule until I feel no w/d's or can I cut a tablet this next Monday? My main goal right now is to prolong getting 4-6 decent hours of sleep a night for as long as I can.

I have a stressful, busy December with work, and I have thought about holding where I am until January, but I really don't want to wait that long. I am sick and tired of this crap. However, I also want to be successful.

Any specific info would be appreciated. I've read all about the actions to make the process easier. I'm specifically interested in schedule info since I am not doing this under the supervision of a MD and I can't. -Randy

Thanks all of you. I'd really like to be off this stuff by new year's, but at 10 pills a day now, I will probably have to deal during January too. Anyway, thanks again to all. -Randy

slow tapers are the best .I had to ct once it was really bad the second time I did one pill a week giving my body time to adujt to each drop . plus that will get you threw dec so it deals with the work problem and you will be a good way down come jan think about it ..

HI and welcome to the forum ...personally I have abused everything but tramadol but we do have a couple of members I will send your post to that have a lot of experience with this drug
so check back tomorrow they should be on and reply ....I do know you have to do this slowly or risk seizure and its not very pleasant coming off of it good luck and God bless...Gnarly

Hello and good evening wide awake..lol. I have to take three Tylenol or advil PM's every night during my whole taper. Here is what I had read from another forum and it seems to be working though a few WD are bound to sneak in. I went from 400-500 sometimes more down to 250mg 100 first thing in morning.  Stretched another 4-5 hours and took 50mg another 4-5 hrs took 50mg another 4-5 hrs another 50mg. Slept for like eight hours and followed the same schedule until the slight WD evened out. I droped down to 200mg. .75mg upon waking stretching to six hours till the next 50mg.  Six hours another .75 sleep through the night hopefully. My longest stretches are overnight but I have a really hard time in the mornings. I will stay on this last one and try to stretch my hours in between for boy four or five days and then drop again. Not sure how much I will have to experiment. I read it should be slow. We shall see. Good luck and let us know how it's going!!!  I hope this all makes sense.
