I went Sunday after Church to see my Daughter in jail I think next to giving birth that was the worst pain in my life. She has 5 charges. Had been to rehab twice had not been out for a week. Two beautiful children where in the car with her and it had taken over her life. I'm lost hurt have anger and pain that man can not even put into words. I went where she was staying and found needles and I know in my heart she is where she needs to be or my next visit might be the morgue. I can only say that if you can get help do, if you need peace it only comes from God. I think he made man with a empty spot in there heart that we look ever where for that feel good, I had to go to church Sunday before I could go see her which is something I have always said I would not do, but I had two. My heart reaches out to you all God Bless!

For me, hot showers, pre-natal vitamins, gatorade, magnesium citrate pills, and hot tea like green tea, lemon tea worked for me...

I'm at 6 1/2 days sober, tomorrow morning will be my week mark quitting 215mg a day Oxycontin habit, and no that's not a misprint of mg's nor am I trying to sound like a badass... I've been literally high for 2 1/2 years every single day, in December 2007 I took this really horrible job, so I would pop 15mgs of Percocets (2 x 7.5/500s), then 3, 4, 5, and after that into my decent of uncontrollable tolerence, leading to going up to 5 doctors a month to maintain my habit, until I found a doctor who would give me Oxy 60s... and as of last week I had to take 3 x 60 Oxycontin, 3 x 10/325mg Percocet, and 1 x 5/325mg generic oxycodone... ALL OF THEM AT ONCE.  I realize that could have killed an elephant, but that damn tolerance!

So... I thought I was going to literally die during this past week, everything hurt, light, dark, a blanket, food, sound, touch, eating, EVERYTHING.  Through the grace of God I've made it, and today I feel incredible at (nearly) 1 week sober, and opiate free.  I did try a methadone clinic, but that was poison for my body, so I abruptly stopped that as well... you all should just let your body be free of ALL opiate based medications, "fix it alls", and let your NATURAL reward system kick in!  For me, today my NATURAL happy chemicals are finally working oxycodone-oxycontin-percocet free, and I love it!

man alot of my friends told me green tea, water, vitimins. ect.
if your going to kick it yourself and not be at a center you should get your family involved. give them your car keys,  any source of money you have, and your cell phone.  its really hard to face it alone.. saunas are good or hot showers if u can take them.. i couldnt do it when i was detoxing.. lol matter of fact i smelled like a dirty pair of socks befor i could make myself shower during that phase. the only reason i made it thru was because of family. and tbh it was family that i thought wouldnt understand and would have just disowned me and all that jazz. i just had to be honest and let them know that it was something that definately couldnt handle myself.  and i mean wait a long time befor you let yourself get enough money in your pocket. because as an addict.. atleast with me relapse is only ever a phonecall away..  ohhhh and get an NA sponser or atleast go to meetings.. im still struggling myself.. so im giving you this advice as a sober addict .. but definately still addicted.

Hi, there are things you can buy to help.  Look at the health pages at the top right of the page.  Thomas Recipe and Amino Acid Protocol.  They will both help you!

Good luck!

Hey, sorry to hear how you are suffering. Hang out a while though, there are some great people here that will give you advice and support. I'm on day 4 kickin OC's and this place has really been a HUGE help. One thing they told me was to get w/ my dr, who gave me Clonadine. That has been a blessing.

Peace
