Thanks for your comments. Yes as far as the surgery goes next month. I am screwed. I had this same surgery last year and it helped for almost 9 months. Not the full year. But I want my life back. My wife would be glad to do that for me but we have tried that and she tries to get me off the pills herself. And says Holy Sh** youre taking to much! it causes fights.
How long till I feel normal? Do I skip the surgery?
I am leaving work now and hope to talk to you again. Will be back here in 14 very long hours!
biggalspal has a very good point. It is hard to know if you feel so bad because of AWD or spasms. A "bit" of benzo would answer that question, kinda! Just so you don't get into the habit of taking it regularly. More than 4 or 5 days puts you at risk for addiction to benzoa, and that is really no fun to WD from. There is a type of body work, that when I actually do it, has changed my pain course and functionality more than once. It is called Feldenkrais. If you could find a practioner in your area, I think you would find that it would help you both tremendously. (My pain too is from my back and pelvis - 2 herniated cervical discs and prior fx. to L4, L5 and pelvis x3).
Hi,
I know how you feel, friend,
I'm a chronic pain patient, too.
I've had 2 cervical surgeries, & really should have back surgery.
I'm 21 days off the Fentanyl patch.
My back is showing it's self right now, too.
I tried 4 Motrin, but little relief.
I'm not gonna call my Dr. I can't go through the mess & hell I just went through again getting clean.
You were taking a lot of powerful drugs! I bet you feel sick. Day 7 I was still writhing in agony of WD.
No WD anymore, but my whole back hurts.
Listen, do you have a Benzo problem? The reason I asked was I still have a few left that I used for WD. I have never abused them. They do help with muscle spasams. I took just ONE & my back is bearable now. I would not give this advice to many people, but it sounds like you are in trouble. I'm talking about Valium. I was always too scared of Xanax or Klonopins to take them.
As far as surgery next month..whew! That's a tough one!
I'm sure opiates are in your future.
Have you been honest with your DR? Will your wife hold your meds & give them to you only as directed? That might help.
You are in a fine pickle my friend.
I just wonder if its the WD's hurting your back worse than if you were clean?

You would benefit tremendously if you started taking the amino acids. Scroll down to the bottom of this page on the right, (amino acid protocol). I am convinced that all of the aminos helped my body detox from the drugs but also to boost, rebuild and stabalize the neruotransmitters that were down regulated from all the opiates. 5-HTP helped me feel less anxious, less depressed and just stabalized me from feeling like I was "tweaking" out!!! The L-Tyrosine helps with the malaise. I have chronic daily pain, but I have been amazed how much less pain I have OFF the opiates than I had on them. NSAIDS, stretching, hot baths and just trying to move away from my computer often help. All my best!!!!
How much meds were you taking? did you quit cold?
I know my body is addicted. My pain is hell right now.
Hows you pain now? Do you think your addicted to the oxys and roxy's?
withdrawls is different for every person, you were taking alot of pain meds, i was on percs and avanzia for almost 4 years, i am on day 19 and finally feeling good, still have some sleep problems but for most part things are getting a little better every day
