Oxy addiction

Help! I've been using oxcycodone for almost 2 years. I took suboxone for 3days, and felt almost normal besides my usual back pain. 3days after the sub I had the worst stomach pain I've ever experienced, so bad I thought it was my appendix, anyway results ended up in the hospital overnight doing test then to find out it was withdrawal. It's been 8 days later and I feel horrible. I can't stop crying, anxiety attacks at night, restless legs and flu symptoms. I don't think I can last much more, my question is, how much longer is this hell?

Thanks to both of you for your time. Really helped, it's day 10 and it's been the best day so far! Other than stomach issues I almost feel back to normal. I can't believe how gone away from myself I've been, but still I have that voice saying "just today, it's Friday".  I'm trying to be strong. Do you think a beer might take the edge off? And is there ever such a thing as just one?

Can you exercise at all? Treadmill helps a lot if you have one. I started feeling really good at Day 22, after making sure I was doing a mulit-vitamin, some B-12s, a soy protein shake, and lots of liquids. Valerian Root is no joke...it really does help anxiety and is all natural. I took Niacin and felt it sped things up, but only for a few days. Those first couple of weeks are hit or miss as everyone is different. I read a lot of diff experiences for diff folks. The key is not giving up. Don't waste your clean time, not for the philosophy of it, but because you are healing even as you read this! Netflix yourself for the sleeplessness. I watched so many mindless dumb movies, I lost track. Although, the new Star Trek is pretty good and I ended up watching that like 8 times. :)

My pain doctor - who is awesome, dislikes opiates, and recommends accupuncture - said we may feel like we're in WDs at some stretches for up to 3 months. KEEP GOING! Be encouraged!

Hey there first thing i can say is hang in there i have withdrawn from several opiates and from my experience oxy's are the worste.   You are almost over the worste of it the depression will last for a couple of weeks at least but your restless legs and insomnia should be subsiding,  I myself while detoxing cold turkey found that nyquill really helps and benadryl,  If your symptoms keep up i would consider talking to your physician who will start you on a tapering off program which will help, but the best thing is you have 8 days under your belt keep it up find a support group and write here daily it really helped me.  May God bless you in this fight i know that you can do it keep the faith and stay strong my friend.  I will help in every way possible.

Thanks, your right I haven't been drinking any water! So maybe that will help, I just don't understand how it could last this long. Everyone I know that has been on these have lasted  3 days. I read that it could be 30-90 days, is that true? Where do I get the hylands? I have the option of a free rehab through a friend, is this that extreme?

Hi--    It depends on what you're doing. Are you drinking enough?  Dehydration is the number one cause of the horrible feeling. Also, low blood sugar!  So,get drinking and eating and you'll feel a lot better!

Get some Hyland's Restful Legs for the RLS;it works great!!
