suboxone or cold turkey?

Is it safe to use suboxone while quitting oxycodone? I dont want to trade one addiction for another.

I am on suboxone and have been able to stay clean for over a year. I go see a addiction doctor once a month and this is the longest time clean I have ever had. I use as directed..and it does not get me high. If you are really serious about staying clean and have failed in the past subs may be a good option. However you have to be very serious about staying clean. As with any drugs.. subs can be over used and addictive if used for getting high. I have been thankful for subs because they have given me the time needed to see life differenlty and give me a real chance to have a good life.

If you don't know about suboxone, don't use it. It is important to use subs as a small part of a complete recovery program. Subs are much stronger and a longer withdrawal than Oxys, and they do get people high and are very addictive. Why do you ask? Maybe we can make some other suggestions.

How much oxy's are you on?
How long have you been taking them?
