PLEASE respond? I need hope

I didn't even know I had grown dependent on these things?!  i took them for 2 months and HATED them. i stopped abruptly and it took me days to figure out what happened?!  Well, it's day 8 and I STILL have profound chills and sweats, diarrhea and a dark, gloomy depression with anxiety (THIS IS NOT ME!)   My question now is- WHEN will these things start to subside? i went to er yest and they told me no no no ultram isn't addictive- i got angry and I told them what time it was......... they gave me celexa and ativan..... i haven't taken them-but i will if this crap doesnt start to feel better!

Today has been my best day yet, but I am afraid its a lie and tonight or tomorrow Ill be slammed with the depression again. HELP!

HOW long til the chills go away? Id be happy with just knowing that!
When will my stamina return? I can barely walk.

**I thought you were right here!!

Just don't take Celexa WITH Ultram. It's been 8 days but check with your doctor if you're nervous about it. The Celexa may actually help you.

i am sorta scared to take the celexa this close after stopping the ultram because of that serotonin thingy everyone talks about. How long should I wait?  thanks so very much for all your words- I heed them!

Oh yea - they gave you celexa - that's a prescription ad so try that first and see if it helps.  St. John's is also good for depression but DO NOT take both of them at the same time.  Choose one or the other.  And as I know you know this already, be super careful with the ativan.  It will help for those really tough moments/nights, but all by itself is VERY addictive.  So keep your guard up with it and you should be okay.

And hang in there and hold onto some of that "blind faith" I'm always talking about.  It really does get better, SO much better, even in those moments when you think it's never going to end.  It will.  I promise you that.   :)

hey whitedove - try the st. john's wort but be sure to check with the pharmacist if you're on any other drugs as there can be interactions with it.  But it was HUGE for me in the depression department - I never experienced any real depression while taking it.  It was a lifesaver for me - it might help you?

It is evil!!  Many people have had problems with it.  The depression is common. If it seems to be lifting, it probably will stay that way. You didn't take this for very long.  Some here have gone on antidepressants for a little while so just keep track of how you feel.

It takes a few weeks for energy to come back. You can help it along by getting some mild exercise...also,read about amino acids in the "health pages",upper right of this page.

i think i am thru most of the EVIL physical symptoms...... i felt like i was being stung by bees for 3 days, and wanted to literally die. Took I KNOW 200 baths over these 8 days just to survive. Now, it's just that today I ALMOST feel human, but the depression I had for the past 7 days scares me to death. Will it come back? I am still chilling but not AS bad. i hurt all over- guess I always will. I have chronic pain for life they say. I have absolutely no energy or stamina and i start college soon. (i am 41)   anyways ty so much...

Ultram is EVIL EVIL EVIL

You only took them for 2 months??  As prescribed?   Wow!!  I just hate these things!!

Everyone is different. Ultram has an antidepressant in it and it's hard on the system when that stops too quickly!

Are you drinking plenty of fluids? Eating enough?   Try taking vitamins and minerals, hot baths, but just force the liquids. It makes a big difference!  Take some Motrin or Tylenol. You may be running a slight fever.  Also,if you have some cough syrup with DXM in it,take a tblsp, it's been known to help many symptoms...esp. RLS!

What drugs are you talking about? Perhaps you can google them here as such and such withdrawal side effects...
