WOW. Thanks everybody for your imput on my issue. I am so amazed that everyone is willing to help and share their own experiences. I am ready to do this but I am really scared at the same time. I keep waking up in the morning with the worst feeling and each day I say o.k I'm ready but then by the time I get to work I give in and take these pills. I just have to do it and not think about it. I have never been without I always have them and I am just so scared but as it was said before it's just like the flu. I can do it I just need to do it. I will keep everyone posted on how it is going once I start my process. My family kows we'll my husband my kids are too young to understand. But my husband said he will be there for me so at least I have him to help with my symptoms. O.K - Here I go...................................................Pray for me.... thanks
Does your family know? Do you want to quit c/t or taper? I really tried to taper & failed miserably! You really have to be strong to taper or have someone give you the meds. If you taper the w/d's will be easier, but your dose really isn't to high either. I felt w/d's by cutting back 1-2 pills, so I just went c/t & sucked it up. It's your choice & it depend on if you can get help. You said you have 3 kids so you will need some help with them. My Husband took 4 days off while I went through w/d's.I promise you won't die & everyone's w/d's are different. I was totally prepared for the absolute worst & honestly it never got that bad. I almost wish it had, only because I wanted w/d's to FOREVER be burned into my brain. Although, the lack of energy for so long, I think is enough to make me NEVER go through the process again. Keep posting, good luck, & let us know what we can do. No questions are stupid, so ask whatever you need to.
hey there, i know you are scared to get off these things. we are were here. you can find alot of information from folks and doctors on this site. i also had the same promblem i took about 10-12 a day on and off for 5 years. i went cold turkey a month ago and doing well. i cant lie to you and say it wont be hard, it just is but if you are ready you can do any thing. i alot of folks will come and give there stories and advice. look on this site at the thomas recipe and may ask some folks about tappering to get off them. i myself could not do the tapper if i had them dang pills i would eat them until they were gone. this site is fantastic and very helpful. the first 5-6 days was the roughest for the phyisical pains of withdraws but i did do the thomas recipe as much as i could and it helped tons. try to walk you wont feel like it and probably have a hard time while you begin but at the end it really helps. hot baths were a god send for me also. i hope this helps and you are in my prayers. really if dont feel like chatting just read on this site it helps to see you are not the only person in this boat. if you are ready you can do this.

These generally start getting better about 4-6 days in and gets a little better each day after. The mental symptoms are the hardest. Good Luck and God bless
