Loritab addiction?

I have been taking 10mg Loritab blues about 2 a day for about 4 months. I did take some time off here and there, anywhere from a few days top about a week or two.  The longer durations were usually supplemented with a pill here and there if i could bumb them from someone.  Before the last 4 months, i was taking them sparingly (about a pill or two every few days )

I do want to quit taking them if I am facing a problem. I herniated a disk in feburary and thats whats got me started on them.  I have read some forums where these things can be as bad as heroin.  I do not want that.

I am officially out of Loritabs as of today and am a bit afraid i may be addicted.  What can i expect at this usage level as far as withdrawals?

I have to be honest, I am not really taking them for pain anymore.  It grew into a recreational thing, now, upon some soul searching, believe it may be due to some relationship problems I am having.  The irony is that its making me numb and I am not dealing with those problems, hence i need to stop.
I havent had any bowel movement issues, or nasea, or trouble sleeping.  Can I expect this?  most things I have read do not specify the quantity as it pertains to the addictions, so if anyonje can tell me if m,y withdrawls from what i ahve described are going to be bad and if so, what will i experience, it would be greatly appreciated

"not really taking them for pain anymore.  It grew into a recreational thing"

that is it right there. 20mg of hydro a day for 4 months is being on the fense. you haven't yet got yourself into a heap of trouble but at the same time, you shouldn't need that much for that long...

as you may already know. stop now. don't fear the withdrawl, that will be very minimal. you haven't got much to worry about there. just let it happen. and if it sucks for 3 days. so what. atleast you won't have to go through months of battling a pill addiction.

The takling them for eu[phoria is me trying to mask other probelms. I have bnattled with other addictions in the past and have been able to beat them. This one started out harmlessly due to injury and and just let it get a little out of hand.  Cant face your problems by masking them with drugs.I feel that may be what i am doing. Especially something like this something so addictive.

Thanks for the advice and Ill keep you folks posted.

Its good to know that here are networks such as these.

Thanks again,

Welcome, everyone is different, some people at your low dosage and short amount of time may not have any withdrawals aside from anxiety, restlessness, some insomnia, and mild diarreah. Others may have full blown withdrawals. You will know by 24 hours after your last dose. If you experience any of these.. get some Immodium, some Benedryl or some OTC "PM" sleep aid, take some hot baths to relax. In a few days you will be fine..
What worries me is that you said you no longer take them for the pain you take them for the euphoria or feeling they gave you. That is when you start to skate on thin ice.  I would for sure stop now before you get up to the 8-10 per day I was up to at the peak of my pill addiction.

I suggest quit now while you're not deep pon the hole yet. 2 a day for 4 months, not bad yet. If you dont stop now you will find yourself in a whole world of trouble. You'll find that your relationship problems will worsen and worsen real bad, everything will worsen real bad. quit now while you're still somewhat ahead. Its funny you said that about the relationship thing. I myself made that same excuse up in my head at one point to do it.....

PLEASE GET OUT WHILE YOU CAN!!!

just a little advice from someone who's been slammin back 80-100mgs of percocet a day for 2 years....and I'm only a moderate candidate and I'm screwed right now, I HATE the way things are...save yourself
