40 days wowwwwwwwwwwwwww!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

40 days already. This is the longest sober in years. Blessed with more work than can handle. I will have a car in no time. I really dont want to pay these stupid probation fees, but hey got to put that in the past huh. Thank you all that have supported me thus far. I am greatly appreciate of this site. Everyone says I dont think I can do this including myself. Oh yes you can. If I can get this far anyone can. With the help of others and especially the belief in a higher power.

Thank you very much. Very encouraging. It is very weird how you wrote put wind in sails. These week I really got into a song I started liking and motivational. I just downloaded it a couple hours ago. By garth brooks called I will sail this vessel. God sent.

it is so wonderful you are taking back your life at a young age.it is great that you are going to a christian group. i believe that will be key to you maintaining your sobriety. unfortunately addiction is a life long issue. i met my husband in church 22 yrs ago he had been clean from heroin for 5 yrs. at the point he was the director of a christian drug and alcohol program called youth challenge, alot like teen challenge. he was so on fire for the Lord. i didn't know about the relapse issues. well 7 years into our marriage. he started to use not heroin but morphine pills, things weren't adding up, missing money, nodding, when i caught him so sorry won't do it again and so the cycle began. much anger, hurt, deceit, very dysfunctional family for 14 yrs. we had 3 children during that time, he had a daughter from another marriage and i had a son (i had been widowed). he was taking methadone & xanax. we attended church every week i believe it kept his addiction at bay, he always worked and provided. he couldnt go on vacation with us he said he had to work the fact was he couldnt miss his doses at the clinic. i never knew he was using all the time. when i found something and tested him it was oh i only did it a few more times. our 3 oldest children had also started to use, pot, coke, xanax. it was do as i do not as i say. i finally kicked him out in feb "09. then in jan10 he went in the same christian rehab he had been in in 1985 and was the director of. he was there for 2 months. well praise God yesterday he has been clean for one year. i believe that addiction is a spiritual bondage. please stay involved in your church. my husband ministers at the rehab a few days a week. get involved encouraging others of your age to remain clean , it def. puts wind in your sails. so proud of you. by the way the fines and probation are def. part of the fall. my husband, and children all had many fines, court dates, probation, to deal with. it took years to mess everything up and will take time for all to be well. you have plenty of time,
God bless you, stay strong in the Lord and power of HIS might. your sins are far as the east is from the west and HE remembers them no more.
blessings
