Hi, I am a 42 year old female, I started taking Percs close to a year ago for bad teeth, at the same time, my partner cheated and left me, I felt the percs make me feel a little better besides helping for pain. Pretty soon (With in about 4 months) I was taking them daily. No excuses, I have made a mistake and abused the medication but now I also get sick when I dont have any. I am taking about 5 ten mg pills a day and I want to STOP. I want to taper down some how. Thanks
You can taper down but this is quite hard for us, addicts... so it would be better if you have someone to hold and give the pills to you every day .... we are not allowed to give taper plans because we are not doctors and we don't know of your medical condition but you can figure up a plan with the pills you have left... you can also read the amino acid protocol on the health pages ( right side of the screen ) and there are some tips to alleviate a little bit some of the physical wds, it is doable, don't be scared of them... you have not been taking them for a long time and you are not a hard core abuser ...i will copy you a list of advices that can help you, ok ? Good luck and stay here posting and telling you how you are doing :)
Here the list ,
immodium ( diarrhea )
advil
a good vitamin complex and a good B's ...
some magnesium ( best chelated )+calcium supplements... to help you with muscle cramps and aches
potassium rich food... apple/orange juice , bananas, spinach, raisins, nutcrackers..
a good chicken soup, tomato soup, eat as healthy as possible ...some protein shakes.
this is very important, .....drink a lot of fluids to keep you hydrated ... gatorades, green tea ( theanine on it, will help your mood and to relax), tonic water ( it has quinine and it will help you with RLS )
Hylands restful legs to help you with RLS , hylands cramps legs
maybe some natural stuff to help you with sleep like melatonin and valerian root ( good for anxiety too and it helped me with the stomach cramps , imo).
lots of hot baths ( with epsom salts if you have them ...)
start with walks and some light exercise as soon as you can to boost your endorphines, enjoy the sun ... exercise will really help you a lot to heal and to feel better :)
