Hi! :)
Have you been sleeping? Have you had any RLS? If so, is it getting better? The sweats & sneezing will get better as you go forward. If you're starting to sleep some & the RLS is abating, it's a good indicator that you're over the hump. If you're not yet, you soon will be. You may have bad moments & low energy but I promise that things will start to ease up soon.
As rough as it is to work when you feel this way, it's a distraction! :) I want to Congratulate you on hanging in there & keeping your eye on the prize. Great work! :)
Well I made it to work today I'm not feeling to bad just sweating like crazy !!!! Today is day 5 it should be getting better after today right ??
I hope work goes well for you that is admirable that you're going to work during this. I've been reading your thread today and I wanted to congratulate you on the four days ! you are a strong person ! great job!!!
Good luck with work tomorrow. It may be a blessing depending on what kind of work you do, but it may be a great distraction. You've done great and hopefully the worst is behind you. For the heavy legs, magnesium and potassium may help, bananas and mashed potatoes are good for potassium.
Congratulations on your clean time...keep pushing forward!!
Thanks everyone for the support! I have to go back to work tomorrow hopefully I'll be feeling better tomorrow So glad I found this site you guys rock !!!!
You are almost through the worst week. I applaud you for hanging tough with a 3-year-old. They could give even a healthy person a run for their money. You are so much stronger than you give yourself credit for. Now, as for those friends...You absolutely HAVE to tell them that you are making important changes in your life and you won't be able to do that lifestyle anymore. If they are really good friends then they would even try to help you. Who knows maybe you'll inspire them to break free too. But, unfortunately, we usually have to cut ALL ties. I second what VICourageous said about the protein shakes and vitamins. Once I started drinking those everyday and taking B12 and B6 vitamins, I began to feel like a new person. They REALLY help. Read as many posts as you can on here. We all have been where you are now. There is so much great advice and everyone here is so loving and supportive. Had it not been for me stumbling onto this forum one day I know I would still be using. You got this!
Also as Vick said stay away frim caffeine as this can bring on anxiety and unwanted highs and lows causing confusion and sadness.
I used white tea and green tea, no milk or sugar and this also releases toxins out the body much faster. Just dont drink green tea on an empty stomach or it will upset it : )
Congratulations on day 4 !!!
You poor thing, i too feel for you detoxing with a bubba with no support !!
I did it with 3 kids but my partner had 4 days off work to help me, so i understand your situation.
Good on you for even showering and being able to walk out the door with not inly yourself, but bubby too. That itself is extremely tough : )
Well done, hang in there, energy is a bumma this early in recovery. Unfortunantly none of us seem to have found that "energy" pill. Just a good multi vit, vit d, mega B complex, omega 3 supp and vit C.
Again, good luck and great job : )
Marycarmel that's exactly how I feel my legs are killing me and yes we had waffles for dinner last night! I feel pretty good right now for getting out of the house today. I have to go back to work tomorrow and my little guy will go to daycare hoping I can make it the whole 10 hr shift thanks for listening
Just a quick note of encouragement. Congratulations is in order for day 4. Be strong. Another day or two and you should start feeling better. Wish I had some advice, but all I can tell you is to keep looking forward. Stay focused on the outcome. Being clean!
My kids were older when I tried CT and then went to a fast taper but it was hard. I felt tremendous heaviness n my legs and I still remember walking from the car to the baseball field and it felt lke a hundred mles. Keep up with yor fluids and now is the tie to watch all those great Disney movies. Is there a neighborhood kid whocould come an help? Even ayouner kid coud amuse a three year old while you took it easy. I did lots of takeout and easy meals, like pancakes or scrambled eggs, etc. I hope your outing went ok.
Thanks so much for the encouragement ! I have 3 appointments I have to go to so I showered and dressed us both we are heading out the door wish me luck.
Oh, Hun I feel for YOU..Even through it has been almost 2 years things can be tough. You have NO ONE?? Well the only thing I can say is to just keep stepping forward one foot in front of the other. Sometimes having a lil one is good because it can redirect your thinking. Maybe hit some of those meetings that are open and take your child. You will meet new clean friends there and they sure will help if they can. I went out since day one coming off of my 3 meds c/t and it did help redirect me but it was hard..lol
Meanwhile make sure you eat very Healthy. Try to stay away from Caffeine & Sugars right now. You can buy some Protein Powder and add it to Berries to make a shake. This will take your insulin level up to a point and even it out, instead of making it go up and drop. Make sure you take some good Vit/Min. This all will take time to kick in. Try to stay with fresh fruits and Veg and Lean Protein right now. You can get your vit/min this way too..Iron and Bs will help with energy too. If you need to relax take the Ds, Calcium, Magnesium and Potassium at night..There is so much more but I do not have the energy right now to go further into it..Hahaha
You take care and do not fall back down..that will really hurt..lol
Make sure you go out and get that Support or Aftercare. This is a Disease and we must have support.
Bless
