Pregnancy and Pain Pills

I am 30 weeks pregnant and have been using oxys and percocet throughout my pregnancy. I don't always use every day and when I do it is just a couple here and there.
I don't really experience withdrawals and i feel awful that I have not been strong enough to quit. I have now stopped using completely and I was just wondering if anyone knows if this will have any effect on my baby.

I have been using 4 mg of diladud here and there throughout my pregnancy. It's only been like 1 or 2 every few days for the past maybe 2 months to deal with my broken tail bone. I'm now 34 weeks and have stopped as of today..will my baby have withdrawal when she's born?

I would just go by what your OB recommends. Just a FYI that at any time they can tear your urine or blood for drugs. They can also test the babies meconium (first bowel movement) and it will tell them any drug you have taken while you have been pregnant. If it comes back positive they are required by law to contact cps. So just make sure you only take what your OB prescribes and you will be completely fine.

.... so if someone is in a car accident and breaks their femur they are being weak?  If someone is enslaved in chronic pain for years and can not care for her children in the mass amount of pain and must take a small amount of pain medication to function while pregnant, this is what you have to say to her?

Codeine is one of the WORST you can take in pregnancy, if you can not taper try a different pain med.  I know to us codeine is the lesser narcotic BUT in your body it breaks down into morphine for the baby.

This study shows only mom who took codeine, even in recommended amounts the baby had withdrawals symptoms.  My OB gives me percocet, as most oxy is pregnancy category B.
