How bad are withdrawls after taking subs for 4 months?

I’ve been taking 8 mg of suboxone tablets for 4 months and I’m terrified of coming off them but I am now ready to make the decison to quit. What do y’all think? Am I gonna be okay am I gonna be able to work? My boyfriend doesn’t know and I feel like once I start withdrawing it will be hard to hide. I did come off of methadone a few times 100mg one time and 30 mg another time and both were pretty hard. Any suggestions??

tell your bf sweetie - I did this too and I'm so glad I told him. He was understanding thank God but there's no way I could have hid it this long. I tapered to a much lower dose than you and was able to work through it (though it wasn't easy) I'm not so sure that you could jump from 8 mg and still work but you have been on it a short time thank God. Taper as low as you can but also the less time your on it the better I say - as long as you're ready.  We can't give specific taper advice or medical advice but that's what I can say for you. I wish you all the luck in the world
