Question about cravings

I used to take anywhere between five to seven 10mg vicoden every day around 5pm. to get motivated to do the mommy thing and wife thing, it gave me a lot of energy to get everything done.  Now around 4pm to 5pm I am extremly tired.   It that still my body tring to adjust , is it a craving?  Will I ever have my energy back at that time of day?

i agree with wannabefree.

i think your getting tired around that time is probably a physical/mental thing.

your just so use to getting that extra kick right then.

if your not at work in the couple of hours before 4/5 pm, i would definately say encourage you to find some time and do some sort of physical activity....

walking/bike/swim/treadmill/gym/tennis whatever, anything.
im not talking about some strenous routine, start out as small as you need and work your way up
follow it with a good source of protein/protein mix shake(to rebuild) some juices (cranberry is my crutch), bananas, peanut butter

i know that sounds sorta like it'd add to the problem
and it may for the first week or so, but after your body becomes accustomed to the physical aspect it will definately boost your mental/physical energy.

'gymrats' always talk about the "natural high" and it is there is actually a physical thing that goes on in your brain post workout

also, everyone is diff. i like to workout in the mornings, some in the afternoons, some at night.

if ud rather not at that time of day, just try the protein/juice/bananas/peanut butter/good complex carbs (brown rice - a little earlier say for lunch)

brown rice with grilled chicken strips with baby spinach is a definate good lunch for energy later on.

get back to u if i think of anything else, sorry i've told everyone asking for ways out of the tiredness about the working out or cardio but i promise after a week or 2 at the most you will know what i mean.

Its your body adjusting to your new way of life. You will get back to normal as time time goes on. Before you know it you will be speeding around doing all your duties and you will stop and realize that everything and anything is possible. You dont need those stinkin pills in your life anymore controlling what you can and can not do. Its a wonderful feeling! Now a days i might pop a piece of chocolate, my friend for life, to get an extra boost...or at least thats what i tell myself so i dont feel guilty for the extra calories. LOL!!! You are doing great! Keep it up and stay strong my friend! Its so worth it in the end!

yes, yes, and yes.  During that time every day, try to invent a new 'habit' for yourself.  this will distract your thinking, and will give you something else to focus on at that time.  I wouldn't necessarily call it a craving, but more of a habit.  Keep up the good work
