I been addicted to heroin for 5 year and I'm trying to kick it with methadone I just got 14 10 mgs how should I take them without getting hook I have never messed with them before thank you for advise

Delete all your numbers,destroy your kit,I'm gonna wait 24 hrs after last use and then take 1 x 10mil, wait half hour and if not feeling better take another etc, then 24 hrs do half wot u did and next day half again. im doing same so hope we can help each other.

Before taking them get checked into out patient or a rehab program. It will be a lot more helpful for you. My friend was addicted to heroin for 2 years and she is in a rehab program now.

We are absolutly NOT supposed to give advice on this topic....but I can see what your trying to do. Is it not possible for you to go to a methadone clinic and have them put you on a short term dosage to get through w/d?  Is there not one in your area?  Taking methadone on your own, not under a doctors care sounds somewhat risky and I'm not sure that's going to give you the end result your looking for?  Are you quitting the heroin?

You really should talk to a Dr about this. Everyone is different, plus it depends on how much heroin you were doing daily. Be very careful cuz it is just as bad as doing "H." Also, I hope you've had a blood test done. "H" wreaks havoc on your potassium levels (amongst other things).
My husband was addicted to pills (12/60mg day), then 4 yrs ago he got addicted to "H." He's quit about 7 times! This last time, he was sober for 5 months & used for 3. He's been clean for 8 days. A little advice, stick with your meetings, identity your triggers, have a network of support u can call anytime you feel on the verge & please please get some therapy. Remember, you can't fix things, but YOU CAN change them! Congratulations & keep at it!
