Quick Subutex taper,Has anyone??

I have been taking subutex to get off hydro and today is day 7 off hydro.I do not count these days as clean time.I have taken less than 10 mg in the week I have been on the sub.I am taking very small amounts just to get by.I have read about a few people who did a detox very quick with sub and had a easier time with w/d's.I have been in mild w/d's the whole time.I sleep fine (wish I could sleep more)but get up very early from back pain.I hope to be off the sub in a day or two.I was just wondering if anyone here has ever detoxed using sub in small amounts in a small amount of time, and how it was for them?I read the bad stories about sub but that seems to be with people taking too high of a dose and staying on for 21 days or more.So anyone?

I took suboxone to get off vicodin and tussinex. I used it twice and of course stayed in my system 4 full days. It helped me with the worst which is the first 3 days. I got offit fine since I didn't take it long enough to get hooked on it, just used it as it has always meant to be used. IT IS FOR A 3 DAY DETOX ONLY!!!! NO MORE!!! Even when I watched Celebrity Rehab  Dr. Drew said that to one of his patients. I think I would try to stop now since you have been taking such a low dose. DO NOT STAY ON IT AMY LONGER THAN YOU HAVE TOO. Your withdrawls from the hydro should be almost gone if not gone at all so it is worth it to try. GOod luck and congrats on 7 days clean.

First of all everybodys detox is different. And what works for one does not always work for another. In the 2 weeks my w/d's were nothing like they would have been if I went cold turkey.I have gone cold turkey before and was in hell for 2 full weeks, and then another few weeks to feel some what normal. So point being to say hydro w/d is easy is a joke.It depends how much and for how long but I can tell you that when I go cold turkey from hydro it is no walk in the park.So far the sub has made my w/d's bearable.Who knows what tomorrow brings but as of today I am ok.

I can't believe people take Sub to get off hydrocodone.  Aint Sub a lot stronger than hydrocodone?  I always went cold turkey off Hydrocodone and in 3-5 days, I felt fine.  People use this Sub junk and it just makes everything harder, more drawn out, and more complicated, with more withdrawal pains in the end.  Sometimes I just think people can be a little whimpy when it comes to quitting something as mild as hydrocodone.  I once took 40 Norco in 14 hours, believe me I know hydrocodone withdrawals.  And really there should not be any usage of a drug substitute to help get off hydrocodones.  By now you would have been almost back to 100% Normal, if you had just quit the hydrocodone Cold Turkey and left the Sub alone.  It only takes about 2.5 - 3 weeks to be back to 100% off hydrocodones.

I took a total of 16mg of subutex in less then 2 weeks time.Today is day 2 with no sub and I am ok.Not great but I can function.I have had mild w/d's for the whole time I have been on the subs and still have them.I am cold, lazy, depression, body pains, can't eat much and sleep is not gtreat but ok.I know the sub is still in my system and hope I do not get worse before better. We shall see.So far like I said I am ok but not the best.I am taking vitamins and the amino's and trying to force myself to get things done. One day at a time I guess.

Thanks.I have read a few stories where people did it in less than 2 weeks and suffered mild w/d's.I think everyone reacts differently.I know many people who have not been able to get off the sub, more people who can't then can.I am going to get off fast and if I suffer I suffer, but at least I tried.I am slo taking vitamins and some amino's and hope that they help me some.I will keep posting.I am in mild w/d's now and it *****!My back is sore,my joints hurt,no energy, anxiety, and I am always so cold.I do sleep pretty good wish I was sleeping better but I am sleeping. That lazy feeling ,the anxiety, and back pain are the worse.I also understand if I had none of the drug in my system I would be way worse off than I am.Just trying to get through the days.I hope people come and post their experiance on sub.Good or bad.

Hi Carson -  I notice that your post has been up for 3 hours and no one has answered so I thought I would.   I have not heard anyone who got off Sub in less time than I did ---- I started at 2 mg twice a day and tapered to only a crumb by day 21.   It was not soon enough and I had horrible W/D's -- much worse than if I had just quit my DOC.   I have heard several people here say they intended to get off Sub after only a week or 10 days but never heard back from them again.  Sub is extremely had to let go of ---  If you can do it in 10 days I hope you will come back and give your experience.  It would help others to know that it can be done.  All the best.  Please keep posting.
