I am going down hill and fast the Norco are not doing anything for me anymore it seems like they are making my anxiety worse now I am down to 7 I just want to stop and just deal with the ct symptoms. I am just afraid with my job (loosing it). Where do I start... I don't know where to start!

Of course the best thing would be not to have to take any pain medication but if it is something you truly needed you might want to talk to your doctor about trying a different kind.  Have you tried just using OTC stuff to see if that worked.  They don't affect a person live pain meds do.  Chronic pain is so hard to deal with it can drive you insane at times and then we seem to have the added pressure of worrying about addiction and what it is doing to our bodies.ahhhhhh it is enough to go crazy!!!   You mentioned something about Subs.  Did you try taking those??  I have never taken them but from what i have read they scare me a bit.  It seems the withdrawals are worse then the wds from pain medication.  Is there anyway you could sit down with your dr and talk about different options.  You don't want to go down a road that will be more difficult to come back from.  Some people manage a good taper program if you want to totally go off of all pain meds that might be one route you can go or ct is another or switching pain meds.  Definitely inform yourself on everything that way you can make an informed decision not something done hastily that causes you to have more anxiety (that you don't need) I don't know if I helped you at all so I am sure others will be around that might have more or better information for you.  Take care of yourself

Are you taking the Norcos for a pain condition or are you just taking them because you have become addicted, of course you can still get addicted even if they are for a pain condition.  I am asking because it is easier to help someone when you have all the information for example if you have chronic pain and aren't abusing the meds then maybe you just need to switch kinds, or if are abusing them you have to let us know how much you are taking and possibly what outcome you would like to have.

I have the choice to wean but, I am just tired of the "merry go round"  I still have 200 left I am just so tempted to flush them no matter what I do I can not stay on the taper and do it the right way because I end up taking more then when I have a bad day... I am bipolar so what I thought was a normal feeling "was not" I take the norco and it is like I "use to get really "happy" and go shopping and feeling like I could "do it all" now i take it and I start getting all anxious and I am always really pissed off at the world at myself irritated by everythinbg even sounds get me mad... I do not want to be like this anymore I am seeing a therapist I just need someone to talk to me " I do not want to be an itch anymore I want to be "me" I  keep posting maybe someone can tell me how to start... Thank you both for posting ....

You need to wean off the norco's  and they do help more than you realize even if you do not think so.  You will find out going ct that you will wish you'd weaned!!!  I hope that i am wrong for your sake.
get the list for everything you need, and the clonidine really helped me

Best hopes for you

I am right there with you.
I am taking time off work because I an in WD's.
It is terrible.
I know exactly how you feel.
I am on day one.
Get everything ready.
1st I have found if you can go straight into detox and hold off on you last does (like 4 narcos) for as long as you can, it usually helps.
Taking that last dose as you head into the real bad WD kinda takes the edge off.
The problem with Norco's is they aren't very strong...Are they?
Get some Imodium AD, something to drink, and some bannanas.
They worst Detox sessions I have every had were because I didn't stop my loss of liquid and I didn't replace the potassium.
I.AD. drink, and bannanas. should help.
Buckfans says to take a multivitiam, and an Amino Acid, he says they help.
keep me posted.
I am right they with you.

Sincerely,

JS
