you have taught me to be selfless(which is a work in progress) i am sure I have taught you patients...LOL

For most of our problems, the solution is simple. We call our sponsor, pray, work the steps, or go to a meeting. But what about those situations where the burden is ongoing and there's no end in sight?
Most of us know what it's like to live with a painful situation-a problem that just isn't going to disappear. For some of us, the problem is an incurable, life-threatening illness. Some of us have incorrigible children. Some of us find that our earnings simply don't cover our living expenses. Some of us care for a chronically ill friend or family member.
Those of us who have ever had to live with an unresolved problem know the relief that comes from just talking about our problem with our recovering friends. We may get some comic relief. Our friends may commiserate or cry in sympathy. Whatever they do, they ease our burden. They may not be able to solve our problem for us or take away our painful feelings, but just knowing that we are loved and cared about makes our problems bearable. We never have to be alone with our pain again.
Just for Today: Those problems I can't resolve can be made bearable by talking to a friend. Today, I will call someone who cares.
I realize how BLESSED I am to have you in my life!!! I will do anything for you!!

Patting ourself on the back is a good tool in learning to love ourselves. You just have to accept how awesome you are by seeing how loved you are by us. All eyes on Rosy, for she's a jolly good fellow, for she's a jolly gods fellow, for she's a jolly good fellow, which nobody can deny. Especially YOU girl.
Is there just a wee chance you are one of those that doesn't like "all eyes on you".???? LOL I only say that because I'm like that.....I do great in a group setting or one-on-one....but hey, put me up in front of others and I feel like I'm gonna puke or faint....hahaha!

Congratulations on your 90 days clean Rosy!! I am so happy for you. You have a lot of people in your corner who care about you very much, and although I am new here, you have come to be a beacon of upbeat support for me also. You are so amazing how you help others, always being there with a note of support or an all understanding comment. I also want to thank you Rosy for always being there for me. Its been 90 now..Wow times fly..Girl when you first came on you where like a light of bolting flashing all over in all these community's on here helping everyone. The reason I took the time to help you with a new name is becasue I knew right off you would be 1 out of a 100 that would stick around and grow. My have you grown too!! You have taken in so much info about this Disease of Addiction and Recovery..You caught on so quick..Although we know it is a life long journey, you still are just ticking on & on, and THAT is something to be VERY PROUD of as I am very proud of you too!!!
