and only suboxone can through u into withdrawal if u don't wait 24 hours after ur last dose, ive been in this game for going on 4 yrs now so I would know, and I hope and wish u the best of luck hun!
if you would of went through the withdrawal from opiates you would of been over the withdrawal sooner, im also addicted hun and I understand, but I was addicted to herion, not pills, and I am now on subutex, subutex is different from suboxone, but subutex does take longer for it to be completely out of your system, that's if its bulid up in ur system that is, like for say u've been takin it for a week or 2 straight but I will tell u that the withdrawal from the subutex lasts longer and is more intense, take it from someone that experienced it, the 1st few days u will be fine but the 3rd day it will be a little more intense, the 4th day is the worst, my husband went to jail back in april and he was sick for 45 days, like after the 1st week the only sign of withdrawal u will have is the aches and also the sleeplessness, and the restlessness. I went 4 days without anything and I hate being sick so I try to stay stocked up! I was u the best of luck!!!!!
Still doing good everyone I haven't relapsed thanks! Hopefully they'll all be outta my system by tomorrow evening it will make 4 days
Forgive me iPhone autocorrect is the worst lol ... but what can I do I'm addicted to Apple ... I'll save that for another thread lol jk

I hope you're doing well kellygirll?! Happy to hear your story very inspiring! Yes I'm hoping it's the same with me. I went from taking 10 to 15 30mg roxies a day down to two with no help. That's not me making much of myself I attribute it to having a strong mental & knowing yourself and what your doing if for. & last but not least & I know it's not popular these days as much but who cares lol ... but God! So anyways thnx for your comments very kind!
Welcome to the forum....you are learning already....so glad you're doing this and posting along the way. I didn't find MedHelp until I was 55 days in.
My most favorite thing you said:
" I'm addition to my friends and family I think it's time I reacquaint myself with God. This thing brought me to the end of myself, which is a great place to be & Im finding myself in an old familiar place again that I over time forgot existed! Either way Ima keep posting and and grateful for everyone who's supported that's exactly why I found and signed up for this site!"
We'll continue to be here for you~
when i was in rehab a few weeks ago and they weaned me off 300mg a day habit with suboxone in 5 days and my withdrawals were mild it was not that uncomfortable i still was able to get to all my groups all day long just low LOW energy but i dont recumbent taking them longer than 5 days and you were not on a very high dose of roxies so it might not be that bad
I've got a great support team in my family and close friends. I've been open with all of them about it and they've got my back. It's 4pm EST here & I'm still fine. I'm addition to my friends and family I think it's time I reacquaint myself with God. This thing brought me to the end of myself, which is a great place to be & Im finding myself in an old familiar place again that I over time forgot existed! Either way Ima keep posting and and grateful for everyone who's supported that's exactly why I found and signed up for this site!
So glad your here. I jumped off methadone 36 days ago & really had no major issues for 2-3 days then the truck rolled in. Please keep posting. Everyone here is so supportive. Also this is a disease of the mind as much as the physical body. What are you going to do for aftercare. I go to an AA/NA meeting every day & am willing to do everything they suggest too. My life is so much better. You to can do this with support from this site & a follow up program where you live.
Hang close keep posting.
2pm no roxies no subutex & no withdrawls!! Thanks for the continued support I'll keep reporting how I'm doing!
Good Morning! Count your blessings, very, very, very few get the "get out of jail free" card. Once in a blue moon we will hear from somebody who gets away without any WD's. However, you may still have some subs in your system and it just hasn't caught up with you yet. Just keep the PM Purrfectly sent you close at hand in case you need to refer to the list.
Prayers out to you Jay!
Ok so check this out. As I've said before I took an eighth of one pill yesterday morning and then a tiny bit more at lunch (1pm) that's it. Now it's 8:35 in the morning & I haven't taken anything since and I don't have any withdrawal symptoms at all.
That's correct. You will go into wd's once the Sub is gone. It's inevitable. So, you should probably stop so you can get it over with. Sub doesn't magically make wd's go away after a few days. And it is an opiate...
You need to treat withdrawal symptoms as they appear. Imodium for diarrhea; ibuprofen for pain, etc...one of the worst symptoms for most people is RLS. This is relieved by taking a combination calcium/magnesium/zinc tablet. Hot baths with Epsom salt help because there's magnesium in the Epsom salt which your body will absorb...as things come up, you can ask us what will help.
Be sure you drink plenty of fluids and eat. Keep in touch here and we can support you through this. You can do it!
@PurrfectlyKrazy thnx so much that's so kind!
Hi and welcome to our forum
I'm going to PM you a list of things you can do to relieve some of your withdrawal symptoms. Please be aware that not everything on the list works for everybody. Most people really agree with the immodium, the epsom salt baths, the liquids so you don't dehydrate. Please look it over and also read any warnings that are involved.
Please continue to post as your symptoms come up. This is not an easy process but we are here to help and support you as much as we can.
PM on the way :-)
Hugz and prayers to you.
So far what I'm gathering is I shouldn't even continue on with these Subutex bc from what I understand the withdrawl is FAR worse. However I need to continue to work I can't afford to take any time off. What forms of comfort would you reccomend if I go cold turkey off blues while working if I no longer use the subs?
Thnx @VICourageous !! Maybe I misspoke I took my last roxy last night or this am what have you, & I'm not intending on buying more or mixing them while I take these subutexs. But just so I'm understanding correctly are you saying these subs are stronger than the roxies and I can become addicted to those as well in just a matter of days? Even with the small amounts I'm taking? I just wanna be clean. Again I currently have no Heath care time off work let alone a dr so I'm in a rock and a hard place. I'm not passing the buck either I put myself here but had no clue how far my sin would take me :(.
You can not mix the 2..It can throw you into precipitated withdraws..As mentioned above it is not a miracle pill..You will still have to detox the oxys out and then the subs. Sub would be good if you do this under a DR maintenance program. This med helps with the cravings of other drugs as you go and do some aftercare and learn all you can about Addiction. It will give you time to get into some Support groups too. Doing both is flirting with disaster in my opinion. I did do the subs after I had four days off my Methadone with 2 other meds..I did not do the program right and just tore the strips down to small pieces for 4 days and then I went into the worse w/d I have ever experienced and I have experienced a few off of the other opiates.
Go to the Addiction Dr if you want to go down the Subtex route..BUT I would just taper off what you are on and your regular DR can help and give you some comfort meds for this..Everyone will experience some kind of w/d because these toxins, no matter what, have to come out of our body and the brain has to balance back..I wish you the best and go see a DR..Being our own Dr gets us in trouble all the time.
Bless
My last roxy was at @ midnight. I woke up at 7am today and took like I said 1/8 of the sub which I broke and yes did buy off the street. This is my 1st time taking subutex and even this small amount has allowed me to work today. My plan was to take an eighth of this one pill for the next 4 days, pray and then hopefully I'll be over roxies and have had taken so little of the subs that I'm not addicted to those either. Idk I have no health insurance can't take off work and have to quit somehow and stay working.
Thnx so much for the replies it means the world to me
Hi Jay and welcome to the forum,
Can I assume you are taking Subutex that you bought off the street? I understand, this is nothing new. But the problem is that people think it is a miracle pill to wipe away all withdrawals. Sadly, it is not. The Subutex youa re taking is stronger than the Roxies. And playing around with the dose is dangerous. Many people become weekend warriors taking pills all weekend and then begin Subutex to get to the next weekend. Subutex is a complete program. It was designed to help addicts get their affairs in order, get counseling and any other aftercare that they choose, and then taper off of the Subutex. If you think the withdrawal is bad now, wait until you withdrawal from Subutex.
We do not give out tapering advice or any advice really about how to use this drug. Your best bet is to do a google search. As you are going through your withdrawal we can support you and offer you some tips and tricks to keep you comfortable during the process.
I wish you the best and hope you get through this.
if i were you, i would just stop everything. it is thurs, i assume you don't work weekends?? if you don't then you may be through the worst of the wd symptoms by monday IF you stop EVERYTHING right now.
flush everything you have and delete ALL your contacts because the mental part of opiate wd is a monster. your brain will do all kinds of stinkin thinkin to get you to use either drug. if you leave ANY doors open to access pills then it will be much harder. you need to shut that down. your thinking will still try and justify you using 'just a tiny piece'.
subutex is way stronger than roxies. google a conversion chart
try and hit 90 meetings in 90 days and then if you decide it is not for you, stop going, but most decide it is an important part of their recovery.
again, stop EVERYTHING NOW. flush what you got. cut your sources. stock up on the comfort meds that purrk sent you.
many, many people work through wd's. it actually helps and is better than laying in bed counting the minutes on the clock, rolling around in pain with nothing to do but think about it.
