in SC they send copies back to the doctors office of any controlled sub prescribed to the doctor with the date it was filled
did he forge the script to his name? and for a large amount? or did he use another name? alot of pharm. check with dr before they fill. they also ask for a ID, if he forged it to a freinds name, they both could get into trouble
Becuase your friend "works" at the office, it won't be as easily overlooked....they usually watch co workers pretty closely. I know that at my uncles practice they are always watching and keep a close eye on anyone who would have access to scripts. So it really depends on how much attention they pay. I know that my uncle keeps a thin pad and always has 20 blank scripts a day. At the end of the day he knows how many he wrote and how many he has left. He's caught 2 employees forging scripts.
YES he can get into trouble! I had a niece that spent time in prison for that OMG I think they call the office when they get rx's filled or send back something. I hope not but it happened to her. She spent almost 3 years in prison it is a felony. Keep us informed I don't mean to scare you but it happened to her.

It is possible but highly unlikely of being caught. If the pharmacy questions it, then there could be trouble.
