I have not personally been on Suboxone. Are you doing this under a dr's supervision? I have heard you do w/d but I don't know how difficult it is. I'm sure someone will have a more thorough answer for you.
I've taken suboxone, and I didn't like it - it's the only med I've ever taken that would make me vomit - besides drinking too much. Even the anti-naseau meds couldn't stop me from getting sick
On the other hand, it seemed like a wonderful drug. No WDs while on it - as a matter of fact, the only good thing it did, that I could complain about is it gave me TO MUCH energy -- I couldn't sleep within 16 hours of taking a dose, so if I didn't take it first thing in the AM - I was up all night.
OK - that's not your question - you are wondering about WDs. None of this is personal information, but I did find a site (it's no longer functioning) that had many people on it taking suboxone -- many complained about the WDs. Most stated something to the following:
While the WDs from Suboxone were much less than true opiates, they took much ((much)) longer to get over. I'd get off vics/percs/etc... and be sick as heck for 3-4 days, and within 2 weeks I was on top of the world, until I started taking again -- suboxone, I'd go through months of not feeling myself, and having mild WDs constantly.
I think the best way I saw it phrazed was this:
'I'd rather spend a week in alcatraz, then 4 months in club fed'
That was enough for me to stop taking Sub (besides, I didn't like being like feeling sick to my stomach).
Anyway - from long term use, you can probably expect longer lasting WDs, just much less severe.
There's probably some people with more 'real life' experience then me though.
