Scared ****less

Hi, I'm 18 years old, I'm a single mother of one, & I have an addiction to roxy 30's. My son is my world, & he deserves the best of the best, & up until I latched onto the sucky things, he got it all. Today is day 2 that I haven't done any, but I did do 10mgs of methadone this morning. I'm determined to quit for good, but my withdraws are killing me, hence the methadone. So my question is, does anybody know of anything, that could ease my withdraws, even the slightest?

Please, don't go from a "lighter" opiate to Methadone. I'm just 70 clean of Methadone (a 20 yr habit) & I can tell you that heroin is easier to kick. What you need is some time. Can you take two or three weeks? Do you have a support system. There are some things you  can do to ease the symptoms. How long have you been on the Roxies and was it your first habit. If you're 18 you have a very good chance of healing more quickly. Write me back if you're interested in nutrition and activities to help you. YOU CAN DO THIS! And, you have the best of all motivations, LOVE. Hold Fast, don't worry if you fall, just pick yourself up & try again..

Look on the bottom right of this page for the Thomas Recipe.  It is chocked full of all kinds of things to help you through wd.  Nothing will take it away completely, but these things can help ease it.  The Immodium is a must!  It also helps with other physical ailments such as the restless legs.  Also hot baths with epsom salts helps with aches, creeping skin and restless legs.  Hanging out here reading other posts and talking with the other members has saved so many of our sanities while going through wd.  It's not easy, but it can be done.  The worst is the first 2 to 3 days then it starts to ease up.  Afterwards you will feel some fogginess, lack of energy and some depression.  Exercise is crucial to get endorphins going.  Most importantly you will need some kind of aftercare such as therapy, support groups or NA to deal with your emotions (they take a while to balance out) and get to the bottom of what lead you to where you are now.   Best Wishes to you.  Hope to hear more.
