Thamks so much for your responses and replying so quickly, I was coming close to saying, "To hell with this" and going out and buying some more pills. I feel a little more at ease knowing of your experience and having support from you guys. That really means alot. I have detoxed several times from the hydrocodone, it sucked really bad but NEVER have I ever felt this bad before! The jerking and twitching were really scaring the **** out of me! By the way, I decided against taking the suboxone last night. I am uneducated about the medicine and it seemed like a bad decision to take something that I have no experience with and without a dr's. approval. I did however take a few Loratabs and a valium last night to try to knock the edge off of some of the wd symptoms but that helped very little and for only 30 mins. at the most. I only slept for thirty mins. last night. I am soo worn down and tierd but not sleepy at all if that makes any sense to anyone. I hope taking those loratabs and the valium doesnt set me back in this. I really wanted to do it cold turkey but that seems practically impossible in my situation. I honestly dont think that tapering with the hydro. is going to be a solution either though. So Im really at a loss here. Even if I wanted to go out and get enough to wean myself down, I know that I lack the control with the damn things and at $100- $120 a pop I dont have the funds to go out and stock up so I guess its doing it the hard way for me!
At our clinic the only seizures that we see are long time heavy user Heroin addicts but its not because of the drug it is because there bodies are so beat up from not eating causing a lot of weight loss and just not very healthy.
Or as someone posted above a prior medical condition or prior history of seizures.
I believe off of high doses there is a risk ...... you need to be very careful . I never had one while on the ultram but I do believe I came close a few times . I would have the jerking and would start seeing flashes of light ....When this happened I would get on the floor lay on my left side and shut my eyes until it passed .
it's always possible to have a seizure when withdrawing from drugs..but i was told by my dr that usually when that happens..it's often due to underlying medical conditions. (except of course benzos) i myself had to be put in the hospital when i decided to throw my xanax down the toilet. but i have been through cold turkey off methadone and now vicodin..so far thank God..no seizures..but muscle pain,dizziness,etc..definately.as Cathy said the restless arm and leg syndrom is most annoying and very typical..keep posting..it will pass..i know that sucks for now..but it will..
I came off of oxycodone and vicodin and felt the same way. I am on Neurontin now, which is an antiepileptic medication and that seems to help a lot. Hope this helps. I know that the feeling sucks!
i have not heard of this. while it possible with the benzos, it is my understanding you dont seizure with oxy w/ds. the restless body is normal for oxy w/ds and it does get really bad. is it possible for you to get clondin from your dr. it is a blood pressure med, but many here say it has really helped with the w/ds. good luck kit
