Shooting Up !

i was just searching what are the signs of shooting up ? my boyfriend and his cousin are known to do 30's / perk 30's for years now , and iknow that if you can't get high on perk 30's no more you go to a higher drug such as heroin . and i know but i don't know forsure if my botfirend is shooting up ive found 3 or more spoons that i have bought recently burnt on the back side i have confronted them they say "don't ever try and sin my life" , my boyfriend and his cousin are always in the bathroom together 24/7 ! and i find hidden spoons and also found a seringe used with a burt spoon ! obiviously right there should tell me they are but my boyfriend is swearing on my child an his childs life he isn't ! but i have a good feeling he is . and here in the past two days i found suboxones in my botfriends wallet , then i found uh baggie that has something orange in it but it looks as if it is smushedd up . he people in there family dose drugs/shoot up / smoke / etc . but i don't do any drugs so i dont know exactly what to think ! if anybody could please help me and let me know what you may know or think i would really appriciate it !

While I was cleaning I found the needle but I know If I confront him he will just get mad and leave what's the best way to go about it..

Wow I feel for you and I think everyone pointed out the obvious pretty well. Don't write him off as a lost cause but you are right you and the child deserve the truth and you all deserve him to be clean. It is hard when people become addicts on their own but when it is an accepted family practice and custom it's even harder. They will protect each other and lie lie lie. Best wishes.

Doesnt have to be a needle found to tell you the story. Some people use pieces of aluminum foil to combust the substance on and then inhale it. The cigarette filters can only mean that he doesnt have cotton readily available. First of all - if you love him you will need extraordinary patience. Learn as much as you can. Knowledge is power. Put "the Thomas Recipe and the Amino Acid Protocols" in medhelps search engine and try to comply. Urge him to take warm baths/showeers - they work wonders. Exercise is also tremendous. Sex causes a release of dopamine that his body hasnt produced by itself in awhile. And please think about an AlAnon meeting or two. There are others in your same situation. Best of luck.

My boyfriend swears that he's not doing anything but I find cigarettes with the filter tore out in the bathroom trash, he stays in there for 20 min at a time & money goes missin 247, I find the thing that's people use to put pills it ( the clear thing off or a cigarette pack) but I can't find a needle..? What should I do or where should I look for the needle at!?

in active addiction pretty much any lie seems alright and fully justified if it's necessary to protect the addiction

to me it seemed like the equivalent of being a jew in nazi germany.  obviously i'd lie to the germans about being a jew.  lying would be reasonable and justified.  lying would be absolutely necessary.  i'd lie without guilt.  i'd lie as if my life depended on it, because i'd honestly (and reasonably) believe that my life depended on it.

I know you know the answer already and I am sure you were hoping someone would give you a rational explanation for all the stuff your bf is doing, but we can't.

Active addicts will lie, cheat, steal and blame others to get what they want and need. What your bf wants and needs right now is his drug, whatever that may be.

You need to make some decisions for yourself and especially for your innocent child who can't make their own decisions. You have to be the protector now.

Your bf will only get clean when he admits he has a problem and asks for help. Until that time he will continue what he is doing and it could escalate and my fear is that he will lash out. Again protect yourself and your child.

I am a former needle addict. Dead give away was you finding the used needle. 2 men in a bathroom together all the time is a sign something is going on.  A couple things I did to hide my needle marks was I would wear a wrist brace to cover up the top of my hand,  wore long sleeves even when it was warm outside.There are so many ways to hide them that it could easily be over looked. I would shoot up some in my ankles,  and know ppl that do it in their neck and genitals. Best Wishes

Hello and welcome to our forum ! I will tell you what I think after reading your post and I was The brother of a Heroin addict who  died from an overdose . From what I am reading I think you all ready know what's going on . In my experience it is quite common place for an addict to swear on anything to keep from being caught ! My brother used to do the same thing all the time . If there are no visible needle needle marks on him then start to check places that might not be so visible to the naked eye . My brother used to shoot it between his toes and  under his arms and other places I wont mention but they can be quite creative in concealing the truth . Time in the bathroom is a dead give a way in my opinion . I know you're not 100% sure so look for the signs I have mentioned . Addicts can be very clever in triking their family and friends for years ! Trust me on that . I wish you well .. Jimmy
