Glad to hear about your 6 days---that is great.
If you read through the posts and talk with the members here you will see that there are lots of folks who stopped and stayed stopped. It's not easy and the mental side of addiction will kick your butt when you least expect it. As it was mentioned, aftercare for many is the key.
Stay away from people, places and things. Get an outside support group. Get counseling if you are able. Make your recovery the most important thing in your life. Fight for yourself and make this time your last time.
Stick around!!
There are success stories all over this forum. Get yourself involved with some aftercare and make yours a success story. Congrats on 6 days!! That is great!! sara
LOL OH GOD.
I did NOT mean it like that, lmao.
I used for THIRTEEN YEARS and quit..going to na/aa meetings was THE key ... i was ready to try anything so i started going to meetings and it "rubed" off on me.....remember, we are products of our enviroment....if you hang out with the people that encourage you and love you and DON'T do drugs....well, you'll become like them.....in other words...you are what you eat. :) ...go, even if you are still using.....eventually, you will get it....IF....and i mean IF, you continue to go to at least one meeting a day. ..Hope this helps. :)
Well I went about 2 months and was drawn back in, I have now been using again about a year. It has destroyed relationships and my goals. I been clean this time for 6 days and i was just wondering have anybody ever finally stop and no craving came back after. I want soooo dam bad to get rid of this curse. Any sucess stories?
