worried about withdrawls and pregnancy

I have been on Pain meds for about a year now for various reasons. finally after gullbladder surgery(which is what they thought was causing my pain) they figured out it was a slipped disk in my back and transferred me to a pain clinic for therapy and pain management. while going there i became pregnant. my obgyn wants me to stay on the medication(hydocodone 5mg 3x a day) until a month before i am due. He is worried about withdrawls and it causing a misscarriage since i am only 7 weeks.
my problem is that the bottle of meds i recieved said: "Take every 6 hrs. for pain as needed" with a quantity of 60.
i dont take them every six hours but i do take them 3xs a day. when i called for a refill they stated it was a 30 day supply even though they knew how often i take them.i called the pharmacy and they said it was written as if it was a 15 day supply but it was up to the doctor to refill it.
so now i will go through withdrawls and i dont know what to do.

When is the 30 days up?  It should last you at least 20. Are you out now?    Call them back and tell them you used 3 per day and now you're out and very afraid. Remind them you're pregnant...

In most states that can just be called in or faxed to the pharmacy...must be because of the protocol,as you've said.   Just call the ofc. in the morning. I'm sure they'll take care of it for you.

they can not put refills on a narcotic, so i have to go an get another paper perscription and bring it in to the pharmacy...i have to do that everytime i get my meds. i think its the pain clinic protocol.

Hi-  Does the Rx have a refill on it?     At 3 pills per day,it should last for 20 days, not 15.

If it has a refill on it,call the pharmacy back. If not, call the doctor's office in the morning and ask them to refill it. Just do that. You won't go through withdrawals if you do this. Do you have any left?
