I know all to well about the thousands of dollars spent! Makes me sick to my stomach.

Opiates seem to have a way of grabbing a hold of people unlike any other substance. I would suggest getting outside support besides this forum. Many have tried just using an online forum and it wasn't enough. There is always something new to learn about addiction and about ourselves. Even if you can succeed without outside support it will at least make this journey a bit easier on you both.

thanks for the info bmdad we plan on using this forum for after care and its working, i had 8  years sobrity with alcohol b4 i started popping then snorting those freakin percs, i got out of a bad marriage and have met the woman of my dreams and now we r going thru detox together, we r doing this because if one of us fails the other will b right behind.. my fiance once she puts her mind to something, she will suceed. and i have the tools to know what we need to do, its just we had no idea how addictive the percs were, heck my dr was prescribing them to me, but wasnt enough then the omg hundreds of dollars to get us to the next script really add up,,im ashamed to say how much we spent.. thank god for you peeps and this forum, were not ready for na, were ready for god and you people for after care..thanks

Sounds like you're doing great overall. Day 5 tends to be the turning point for most as the worst of the physical symptoms start to subside. Now would be a great time to start checking into aftercare if you haven't already. I'm sure you've read it on here before that the real fight begins once the physical symptoms have subsided. Most seem to make it through the physical symptoms only to give in to the mental aspect shortly down the road.

You two keep on fighting and hang in there. You've got this!
