Sorry

First let me start by saying sorry for my last post. I wasn't trying to break Any rules. Let me try to rephrase. I have been clean for 9 days but was involved in a car accident two weeks ago that totaled my car. Ever since then I have benn having really bad anxiety attacks. I have never had a problem with this before but it is driving me crazy! I tried to drive this weekend and had to stop and let someone else because I was terrified. My doc knows about my addictio history so I don't think going to see her would do any good because I doubt she would give me anything to help. I am getting 2-3 hours of sleep a night and if I don't get some sort of help soon I fear another relapse is in my near future. I don't really know what my question is, I guess maybe I'm trying to vent some hoping that will help. I have been taking the stinky valerian root but haven't noticed any difference. Thanks for taking the time to read my post and feel free to give me some pointers if u have been through this or if you just think I should quit whinning like a baby that's fine too.

Thanks u guys. I called her office and she is on vacation till the 9th. Go figure. I have been going to na meetings as much as I can. Always once a week but more if I can find a sitter. This whole car thing has me really stressed out right now. I now understand the torture ppl r going through when they have anxiety problems. Even when I was going through wd it wasn't like this. I'm so unhappy right now

A lot os members suffer with anxiety, it is common. I suggest that you see your doctor and get a good check up and be honest about everything that is going on with you. He/she may be able to help you with the anxiety. You should not have to suffer---that is not the idea behind getting clean.

Let us know how you make out.

Have you gone to any AA/NA meetings yet? They will give you some support for the tough times durin the first couple of weeks. It is normal what you are going through with the trouble sleepin and anxiety, its all part of coming off drugs.

Maybe there are meds that are non-addictive that they could give you to help with the pain or the sleeping! I hope you start feeling better soon! It probably will take some time to drive again, I would be scared too about it! Good luck to you and I wish you the best!
