Starting new job..

Today i am starting my new job.. I am thrilled to not have to walk into the other place.. This will be a much needed change.. for sure. I even have a fairly busy first day. and the rest of my week is panning out nicely.. I was nervous I wasn't very busy this week and these people would think I was crazy when I told them i was a busy hairdresser.
Neuro doc appt yesterday went well.. he said he really thinks my headaches are the normal tension type from the Fibro with the exception of the migraines I endured this last week. He suggested I consider getting Botox shots in the back of my neck to help relax the muscles. i don't know how i feel about that. I doubt my insurance would cover it. And I am sure its expensive to do out of pocket. I will put that in the back of my mind if it should ever come to that.
So far today feeling good.. woke up a bit sore.. but I had a super deep tissue massage last night so this is normal for the first day. After i down a bunch of water I should be feeling better.

I missed this post yesterday...congratulations and good luck with the new job!!  Good for you!!!

I hope they don't pick you for jury duty...just remember, when asked, tell them, "Yes, I would have a problem with the death sentence."  "No, I could not be impartial."  Basically, just figure out what they want to hear and tell them the opposite...they will not pick you.

Yes please keep me up to date with anything new... I am gonna try to get mine to start me on elavil next time on my appt the 1st... I think if I start getting more quality sleep I will feel better overall.. at least I hope so..zanaflex is working well for the muscle spasms.. using heating pad everynight b4 bed.. Burts Bee's theraputic bath crystals a few times a week.. they help "break up" lactic acid build up in the muscles..

i went to a new fibro doctor today, i have 3 more appointments with her coming up...i'll be sure to let YOU know if i learn anything new...todays appointment was for the edema...just talked about the fibro in general...nothing intensive yet...

Thanks so much everyone.. Today went really well.. was very busy.. part of that though is because i am marked out for jury selection tommorrow.. which I am really really hoping they don't pick me.. There is NO way I can sit there all day... I am in so much pain when I sit in hard chairs.. Nor can I stay awake.. so I am hoping they have pity on the girl with Fibro..:LOL I didn't have time to ask my doc for a letter to send or take with me so looks like i am going and hoping they don't want me.. not to mention I could not afford to take off work to do it if I got chosen.. with starting at this new place and having my commision cut 7% I need to work as much as possible....

depends on yur insurance, but if its' used for a medical reason not cosmetic.....they might pay for it.

Good luck dear..I think this is a great new step. I don't know about your insurance, but a friend of mine did the botox for tension headache thing. They paid for his. Lasts a few months, too. No annoying back of the neck wrinkles either :)
