Fatigue with w/d's ?

I have been tapering from norco's and I love the pattern for tapering that I have been following but life keeps getting in my way....like Christmas, it took me awhile after the holidays to get back to my plan.  Plus I had trouble with my Dr....i ended up not having enough pills for my taper so I cut back a lot more.

I was feeling pretty good so I decided to start this week, I thought I could do it but we are going to SF on Friday & Saturday....I have two Dr. appts there.  So have added a couple pills back.  It looks like I will start again after...I am actually going to my Pain Clinic and my Headache Clinic.  Which is probably good me right now...

So I will be back, so far I have just been reading...but I had a question ....this week I had dropped down to 3 pills a day from about 6 a day. This week I have felt so tired that I could barely move, other than that I felt pretty good.
Is that the norn for opiate w/d's, getting so fatgued as I was doing?

thanks, meg

I am back from my trip and not quite sure whats going on with me.  I went back to my norco while I was gone, two days.  I still felt as though I was still w/d'g and on Sat morning before we left I was acting very strange, which I can do sometimes with the MS.  I don't remember it at all,  donewhich I also have at times.

My husband told me after the fact and I also asked my daughter-in-law and she said I was acting as if I was "high".  But that is all the information I have.

Afterwards I had to go to UCSF Headache Clinic to have botox injections.  Monday I was so sick and still sick today, it could be w/d's although I only started tapering a bit on Monday but today I am tapering a bit more.  I couldn't say I tapered much on Monday but I did today.

I know that is not much to go on but its all I got, can you make any since og it at all?

Yes, it is the norm. Even though you were tapering, you were still withdrawing from the usual dose you have been taking. Being very fatigued during withdrawal is extremely common.

"Opiate withdrawal occurs in two distinctive stages---the acute withdrawal phase and post-acute withdrawal syndrome (PAWS). Acute withdrawal causes symptoms that are primarily physical in nature, such as diarrhea and fever, while PAWS mainly affects mental and emotional functioning. Those undergoing acute opiate withdrawal often experience runny nose, extreme fatigue, fever and chills."
